El Ajou Group - A. Chief Financial Officer

Role Summary
Oversee all finance, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, Zakat and corporate insurance functions at El Ajou Group. This role directs all financial activities and advises and assists the CEO in meeting or exceeding the overall financial and strategic business objectives of the Company. Responsible for providing strategic, tactical and operational financial leadership for the Group by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, controls and policies, socialize them and implement them operationally.

Essential Duties:
1. Define objectives, strategies, policies, procedures, measures and organizational enhancements to meet company goals for finance and transforming them into long, medium and short-term plans, which include internal development and productivity increase as well as participating in executing these plans in coordination with subordinates.
2. Heading of about 50 and conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to follow up smooth running of activities and keeping abreast with latest findings and put them in action.
3. Monitor all direct reports in order to ensure they are adhering to all policies and procedures set forth by the Group.
4. Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports and related analyses in accordance with GAAP on a timely basis.
5. Participating in the development of the department work plan; assigning work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures

Executive and Technical Duties:
1. Direct group financial goals, objectives, and budgets. Overseeing programs to minimize risks and losses that may arise from financial transactions and business operations undertaken by the company
2. Regularly monitor and work closely with management in taking timely action to ensure that budgets and financial plans stay within approved level and on time.
3. Manage the cash balances and recommend investing excess funds to achieve the most lucrative rate consistent with Group policy.
4. Lead the effort in the planning and preparation of the annual budget.
5. Plan for the future financing requirements and stability of El Ajou Group by preparing and recommending strategy, credit facilities mix for approved programs and initiatives, regularly review debt portfolios for optimum rates.
6. Coordinate preparation for external audits and filing of Zakat tax returns and ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements company and Group policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages team of (8 - 10) direct repartee's who are responsible for the coordination and execution of the various functions performed in the finance department. Directly manages and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Group’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complains and resolving problems.

(5) Knowledge and experience in multi-currency transactions, negotiation and co-ordination capability with banks for obtaining various facilities, opening letter of credits, processing documents under L/C issuing Bank Guarantee etc.
(6) Monitor expenses and approves all day-to-day cash transaction.
(7) Co-ordination with external auditors and proper application of International Accounting Standards and GAAP in accounts.

* Maintained optimum level of inventory by all means of control over commercial/logistic
* Applied effective credit and collection policies which resulted optimum Accounts Receivable level.
