• To Carry out process engineering design activities for Utilities & Offsite units/ boilers/ compressed air system/ fuel oil systems/ Natural Gas & LPG system / Synthetic natural gas / water treatment plant including specific experience with boiler FEED and PMC/EPC projects.
• To Lead major process studies e.g., HAZOP, SIL, PFD, P&ID reviews, during project development in addition to process engineering design development such as equipment process data sheet, plot plan, H&M balance, relief system sizing and basic process engineering calculations.
• To conduct technical assessment with licensors, vendors and engineering contractors to provide the optimum design.
• To Lead and perform technical design and ensure successful implementation of complex processes according to defined standards and work methods.
• To direct and check work performed by process engineers in accordance with company quality standards.
• To coordinate with drafting coordinator and lead designers for the drafting activities associated with the assigned part of work.
• To perform vendor data reviews and, with concurrence of Head of Department, incorporate details into the design documents as necessary.
• To provide process engineering design in depth input to other engineering function such as process safety, piping, Mechanical and fixed equipment during the project development phases.
• To drive cost optimization strategies and actions from process engineering and operation aspects to create capital efficiencies initiatives
• To provide site engineering support, as well as other inter-disciplinary support should the requirement arises.
• Contributing towards, maintaining and implementing both company and client HSE Management System objectives and procedures.
• Define and clarify project scope, scope between vendors and packages in an efficient manner.
• Perform calculations to support the design output, in an efficient, effective, transparent manner, to time constraints.
• Develop and document the process systems design.
• Size, specify and define equipment and instrumentation requirements in a clear, reliable and unambiguous manner.
• Take responsibility for ensuring all other process requirements are correctly communicated to other discipline engineers, and to vendors, and that correct implementation is confirmed/verified.
• Apply process engineering skills and know-how in a cost-effective manner to the development and/or optimisation of facility designs.
• Identify and resolve design issues and problems in a timely manner.
• To perform design calculations based on design codes, standards and engineering practices.
• To apply the principles of mass and heat transfer to process and equipment design, including conceptual, scheme and detail design.
• To develop process drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, ) based on design standards, engineering practices and contractual requirements.
• Prepares detailed design specifications based on design calculations and contractual requirements.
• Responsible for technical evaluation of vendor items and ensures that they are in accordance with design specifications.
• To prepare equipments data sheets, performance test procedures, operating and maintenance manual.
• Ensures that queries in technical areas / information and their interpretation are clearly identified and dealt with promptly.
• Responsibility for risk assessment, including hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, for the health and safety of both company staff and the wider community;
• To Carryout the site visits to ensure the as-built status of the drawings.
• Ensures that changes in process design, which have impact on the overall design of the product, are being transmitted to relevant design sections for incorporation.
3 out of 4 GPA having Honour Degree Four weeks internship training as part of industrial training program in Engro Chemical Pakistan Limited at plant site in Daharki (sindh) from 04 July, 2005 to 29 July, 2005. Worked as a Teacher Assistance during 3rd year of education.
