Jacob Engineering is a PMC to Supreme Committee for FIFA World Cup 2022.
The program includes design management for eight football stadiums and

Client: Supreme Committee (SC) for Delivery and Legacy Q2022
TraffiConsult was appointed by SC to review and manage the three major 2022 FIFA stadiums. As a

Conducted road safety audit and design for 65 km rural road and identified major design and maintenance
deficiencies.
* Managed master plan and roadway design for pedestrian safety enhancement in Abu Dhabi which includes provision
of new pedestrian crossing signals, bridges, and fence.
* Managed site survey for adequate and safe locations of new traffic signals and bridges.
* Implemented new system for site survey by introducing GIS camera and database setup which resulted in efficient
and accurate site survey and better data acquisition.

Project: Development of Road Design Manual
Client: Roads and Transport Authority (RTA)
Road and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai prepared new Geometric design manual and specification manual as
AASHTO for roads. My responsibility as a team member of international expert on roadway design was to prepare
geometric design standards for various road related infrastructure.
* As an international expert on geometric design, I reviewed various international design manuals from USA, UK,
Canada, Australia and New Zeeland to update current design manual.
* Coordinated with various international consultants to get feedback on use of various international manuals.
* Studied local conditions and materials availability to update new manual for economic conditions and local
construction practices.
* Coordinated with laboratory tests authority to adopt new technology and test procedures used in US and Australia.
* Modified existing design manual for to enhance road safety and improve access management.
Project: Development of Abu Dhabi Addressing System and Sign Manual
Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) of Abu Dhabi published two design standard manuals, namely ‘Addressing
System’ and ‘Abu Dhabi Street Name Sign Manual'. As a member of international experts in traffic engineering, I
developed various engineering standards for the new manuals.
* Conducted field survey and collected data for existing sign practices in Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
* Coordinated with various agencies and municipalities to comprehend their requirements and local conditions.
* Reviewed international practices for sign manuals from various developed countries and conducted gap analysis for
Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
* Reviewed all infrastructure issues of Abu Dhabi to generate new system of coordinates and origin for addressing
and to develop the design of street name sign.
Project: Road Safety Audit for Abu Dubai city (Abu Dhabi Municipality):
Abu Dhabi Municipality initiated road safety auditing project. I worked as safety auditor for road safety assessment.
* Prepared the tender documents and financial proposal for the project and successfully acquired the contract for the
project.
* Prepared safety auditing plan to prioritize the various districts in Abu Dhabi.
* Coordinated with client and sub consultant to share the technical responsibility in project.
* Assisted ARRB’s technical team in Australia to mobilize the safety auditing survey equipment and vehicle according
to project requirements.
Project: Road Safety Audit for Dubai city (RTA)
* Conducted existing roads safety audit review for Dubai city.
* Prepared geometric design and traffic controls design for citywide road based on safety audit findings.
* Reviewed and modified existing design of roundabout and signalized junctions to improve the efficiency and safety.
* Prepared road risk levels classification and database for the project.
* Coordinated with international experts for evaluation and design to obtain economical safety improvement plan.
* Prepared law enforcement and policy suggestions for safety enhancement in construction zone.

Project: Palm Deira Island Transportation Design
Client: Nakheel
Worked as a Highway design engineer for the most iconic project “Palm Deira Island” infrastructure
development in Dubai, with an area of 500 Hectares and 200, 000 Population.

* Prepared geometric design for project's transportation infrastructure including roads, bridges and tunnels.
* Designed multi-level complex interchanges with tunnels for roads and light rail.
* Performed challenging design for spiral ramps to provide access from freeway to multi-level car park.
* Planed intra transportation model system to integrate roads, light rail, bike track and pedestrian paths.
