1. Hold regular documented meetings (at least monthly) with center providers/physician extenders to discuss systems/patient flow quality, improvement in scheduling, and patient and physician relationships.
2. Assist, regularly review, and annually sign off on, as approved and updated, the latest Joint Commission standard policies, procedures, and medical protocols regarding patient care.
3. In conjunction with the Chief of Staff provide guidance to hospitalist program services to include policies, personnel, services, marketing, quality assurance monitoring, and education.
4. Regularly assess center medical staff perceptions and needs of the program to ensure a harmonious working relationship, provides leadership to practitioners resulting in overall center improvement
5. Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer/Chief of Staff to achieve the corporation’s goals for contract stability and optimal contract management.
6. Provide direct patient care in hospitalist program, 9 on call shifts per four-week block.
7. Provide overall medical leadership to all members associated with the practice.
8. Work cooperatively and supportively with the center administration and physicians to ensure services are available and meeting quality and 14. Interact closely with administration to develop goals and ongoing assessment of achieving objectives.
9.Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and public relation plans.
10. Promote/ensure patient satisfaction in all areas of patient care delivery.
11. Represent center at requested community functions, presentations, and meetings/forums.
One month rotation in clinical anaesthesiology
1. Knowledge: Acquire the capacity to find, select and apply knowledge as it becomes relevant to particular clinical situations.
2. Practical skills: Acquisition and practice of basic clinical skills: Procedural-,
emergency care-, preventive-, rehabilitative- and palliative care skills.
3. Communication and counselling: Communication with peers, supervisors,
health professionals, patients and their relatives.
4. Professional development and attitudes: Acquisition of responsibilities to
patients, colleagues and the community.
5. Personal development: Develop skills in self-monitoring, self-care and
stress management
