MT work involves transcription of voice-recorded medical data dictated by physicians (including patient visits, procedure notes, etc.) into text formats (we used to get data from US doctors via internet).
It requires to be transcribed in a format as desired by the clients usually in MS-Word documents.
It requires accuracy in terms of grammar and spelling in general and particularly those of medical terms, medicines and the correct dosages.
In addition for Home-based MT files download and upload is required. Also need to manage power / electricity backup, system backup, etc. working home-base is a tough job..

(Though medical transcription is a new industry but is rapidly growing one but I am amazed not to find it in above list, Company industry and job role.)
I got my graduation with the above majors. Afterwards I also attended and qualified with permanent exemption ICMAP Foundation I course (with major Principles of Accounting, Economics, Business English and Computer systems) and attended Foundation II course, cleared partly.
