eSetup is the core Insurance Business Product development solution developed using SOA reference
architecture. It provides product configuration workbench for creating and maintaining insurance products.
The system provides user interface for Product Managers, Product Admin, Plan Designer facilitating them to
create, modify product information such as Coverage, Expense, Realization Item, Loss etc which is stored in
the Product Inventory.
Responsibilities:
* Designing various J2EE application modules with loosely coupled and high cohesion principles to
interact with various Insurance legacy applications for validating business rules.
* JSF and JAVA Coding as per technical design and coding standards using RAD 8.0.
* Used Spring Framework for dependency injection for Action classes using Application Context
XML file.
* Integrated MyBatis ORM with Spring framework to facilitate DML and DQL queries and
represent object-database mapping. DB2 database used for back-end.
* Extensively worked on MyBatis for mapping the Java Objects in to the Database and wrote
the mapping Files.
* Implemented the object transformation mechanism using Dozer.
* Implemented the logging mechanism using Log4j framework.
* Implemented various J2EE design patterns such as Session Facade, Business Delegate, Data
Group Administration is to automate end to end workflow of customer acquisition process in group insurance using IBM case Manager. The system provides insurer with the solution for reducing delays due to manual processes and communication lag, by using BRMS decision management functionality and integration of ICM with web services for automatic email communication.
Responsibilities:
Designing various reusable Java Components.
Java Coding as per technical design and coding standards using RAD 8.0.
Used Spring Framework for dependency injection for Action classes using Application Context xml file.
Used Spring Framework for logging implementation and extensively used Spring AOP to reduce cross cutting concerns.
Used IBM Case Manager for designing workflows.
Involved in weekly code reviews.
Used SVN as version control system for the source code and project documents.
Developed SOAP based web services using JAX-WS
Maintaining good coordination with the On-site team, for requirement analysis.
