Key Accountabilities
Mainline responsibility of managing the Clearing & Payment Operations
Monitory the daily cash flows and for payment operations and liaise with treasury operations in ensuring liquidity for payments and settlements
Participate in the bidding of T-bills and Repo transactions
Coordinating with treasury department in ensuring adequate liquidity for payments processed by the bank
SME and Project lead responsible for implementation of Bahrain Central Bank EFTS for Citibank in Bahrain
Perform UAT, PVT, develop operations process manuals and train users on various technological projects and changes
Daily monitoring and reconciliation of Suspense, Sundry accounts, Vostro/Nostro and DTDF accounts
Handle various responsibilities including
o Ensuring adherence to Central Bank policies, Anti Money Laundering policies & internal process guidelines in day to day operations of Clearing and Fund Transfer Unit.
o Coordinating with the Central Bank and various banks on the island and abroad on issues and delays in receipt of funds
o Monitoring all transactions of high value, for any suspicious transactions and report the same to financial intelligence unit
o Periodically review operations risk and enhance controls to address gaps identified
o Monitor the SLA with the vendor, monitor their performance on key KPI
o Identify opportunities for process re-engineering
o Ensuring timely reporting of bank cash flows, review transactions and monitor the bank balance held with Central Bank
o Reviewing and approving new product launch proposals and submit feedback on operational feasibility
o enhancements and process automation relating to the department
o Monitoring the performance of the team members and provide periodic feedback on improving performance
Key Accountabilities
Mainline responsibility of heading Customer Service and Operations for 6 branches
Provide leadership, direction and motivation to team members
Approve deviation within my purview to underwrite Insurance proposals
Define ways for improving customer satisfaction being at a second escalation level
Coordinate with sales in ensuring smooth day to day operations of the branch being the second level of escalation
Provide feedback/suggestions to top management on betterment of processes/operations
Identify and set up agreements with vendors for supply of various items or services for branch functioning
Sign off bills/vendor claims that are within my purview
Ensure maintenance of adequate registers relating to employee records, Assets, Security etc.
General maintenance of the branch including discipline and cleanliness
Key Accountabilities
Mainline responsibility of handling various activities in Banking Process Operations
ATM Operations
Being one point contact for all ATM related queries for Bangalore, I interacted with RMs, Relationship Officers, CSMs and Service Head in the branch and with customers to resolve the queries raised by them
Analyze the daily ATM Cash withdrawal and manage the cash inflow for the day
Liaison with the Reserve Bank of India and Banks/Currency chests in Bangalore to generate cash inflow
Analyze ATM wise withdrawal and help business identify new locations for setting up ATM centers
Investigate and resolve ATM disputes pertaining to withdrawal and deposits
Ensure that team provides timely resolution to queries logged in through various customer touch points
Conduct periodic audits/review at the ATMs and agency to ensure adherence to Citigroup standards
In house cheque processing
Ensure cheques collected by the agency from ATMs are properly listed and segregated
Act as a primary touch point for all cheques related queries arising from customer contacts
Ensure the upload file given by processing vendor is error free
Manage rejects during processing
Managing cheque bounces distinguishing financial and non financial bounces
Manage cheque discrepancies acting as primary custodian of such cheques
Ensure compliance to regulations in processing cheques and report it as part of monthly QSA
Auto Loan Operations
Review the proposals submitted for eligibility and process norms
Check for accuracy of documentation collected from the customers
Recommend proposals that are above approval limits for superiors approval
Liaise with sales for collection of documents required for processing a proposal
Conduct periodic delinquent profile analysis in coordination with collections team
Review process note and suggest modification before putting it up for final approval
Generate monthly error report to track and reduce booking errors
Conduct periodic training to Process Associates/Sales Channels to reduce documentation errors in Auto Loans
Account Opening
Scrutiny of application forms for account opening logged in by sales
Ensure adherence to KYC and compliance with audit parameters
To ensure adherence to KYC before opening of accounts
Coordinate with relationship managers for requirements triggered applications
Generate monthly accuracy MIS and improve productivity
