Responsibilities / Contribution
•Managing VM’S & ESXi Hosts using vCenter server.
•Installing ESXi host on server hardware using tools like HP iLO, IBM Blade center, Cisco UCS.
•Migrating VMs and ESXi hosts from one vCenter/Datacenter to another.
•Deploying and Managing Virtual Machines and Templates.
•Performing Snapshots, Cloning, Cold Migrations and Hot Migrations.
•Performing activities like Disk consolidation, VM tools installation, Virtual hardware upgrade.
•Creating and Managing Virtual Switches, VM Kernel ports & VM Port groups in virtual Environment.
•Managing of compute resources and datastores for all vCenter.
•Creating and Managing Resource pools and adding the VM’s into resource pools.
•Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
•ESXi host configuration like AD integration, NTP service setup, and Scratch log configuration.
•Installing and configuring VDI base templates.
•Managing dedicated and floating VDI pools using VMware View Admin console.
•Entitling users to different VDI pools and troubleshooting VDI session related issues.
•Actively checking and removing VDI problem desktops and orphaned VM’s as part of daily activities.
•Installing and upgrading of Domain Controllers.
•Installation and administration of Windows Active Directory.
•Install/Uninstall DHCP server, authorizing DHCP servers on the network.
•Configuring DHCP Scopes, reservations and exceptions.
•Configuring DNS servers, creating zones and adding/deleting DNS records.
•Configuring group policies, managing user accounts and profiles.
•Troubleshooting bug check issues by analyzing BSOD errors.
•Imaging and software deployment using Symantec Altiris Client Management Suite.
•Patch management of client operating systems using Symantec Altiris Client Management Suite.
•Abiding to SLA’s and resolving tickets under the defined timelines.
•Creating and regularly updating documents like SOP's, RCA, KT planners.
•Raising Change for decommission of servers upon confirmation of unused servers from owners.
•Attended Change meetings and represented the changes.

•Installing and configuring Windows server 2003 & 2008.
•Configuring of DHCP, DNS, and ADS.
•Configuring GPO, setting account policies, creating roaming profiles.
•Installation of Print Servers, Network printers and scanners.
•Creating and administering OU’s, and moving users and computers to appropriate OU.
•Creating, disabling, unlocking and resetting of users in AD.
•Handling issues related to user accounts like lockouts.
•Administrate and maintain end user accounts permission and access.
•Configuring and troubleshooting Antivirus Server & client’s installations (Symantec Endpoint).
•Disk Encryption using Symantec Endpoint Encryption.
•Providing access and troubleshooting of VPN using Symantec VIP.
•Following ITIL processes and ensuring the follow-up for closure of tickets.
•Creating and updating of documents like SOP, RCA, asset management etc.
•License management for Microsoft products (MS Office, Visio, Project) using Microsoft Admin console and Adobe products (Adobe DC, CC, Photoshop etc.) using Adobe Admin console.
•Installation and troubleshooting of Cisco Soft phones and WebEx.

•Installing and configuring Windows server 2003 and Windows XP/Win7, Ubuntu.
•Configure and manage AD, DNS, DHCP and RIS.
•Maintaining hardware of more than 350 desktops and thin clients.

•Adding, sharing and configuring printer and scanner.
•Adding/Removing devices, Updating Device Drivers, Installation of Third Party Applications on servers/clients
