• Taking responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of the accounting information reported from the organisation’s accounting systems
• Supporting the senior management in developing and delivering the organisation’s financial and business strategy
• Continuous review of financial, control and management information systems and procedures, implementing improvements across the organisation in consultation with the senior management
• Updating, reviewing and documenting the organisation’s financial policies and procedures
• Producing the monthly management accounts and other reports as required for senior management
• Preparing and analysing cashflow statements, income and expenditure accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Assisting in the production of the draft year end accounts, supporting schedules and liaison with the auditors
• Planning projects exploring potential problems or opportunities, ensuring that resources and staff are available to execute the project. Carrying out any necessary research, analysing it and concluding on that information
• Support on contractual terms and other ongoing arrangements with suppliers.
• Liaison with the Legal team and Government bodies for matters related to Company formation and Liquidation
Highlights:
• Project E-Commerce (The Dubai Bazaar, DXB Clearance, Jolli Bag, Monday Bloom and Esy Watch) -
o Proactively initiated the creation of several MIS reports which helped turnaround business to a profit making venture.
o Acted as backup for the “Operations Manager” for one month and successfully managed smooth operations
o Trained the Call Centre staff in identifying business opportunities and improving efficiencies
• Project Food & Beverage (Big Ben Catering) - Created and updated MIS reports on Trade Receivables which improved the liquidity of the business
