Leading of a team of 35 people involved in all aspects of stock ordering and management for the entire Company.
My Responsibilities includes
• Recruit and train employees for the stock .
. Monitoring the performance and progress of staff
• Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
• Communicating with other departments
• Fulfilling objectives and directions from the senior management of the company
• Day to day senior point of contact for all suppliers and responsible for management of supplier relationships.
• Negotiation of key supplier contracts .
• Identification of alternative sources of supply for all stock items to ensure no over reliance on any suppliers
• Oversee purchasing function to ensure:
efficient levels of stocks being maintained
no overstocking
no stock outs
• Oversee accurate receipting of all goods into stock, including verification of delivery notes and updating of live stock system.
• Timely notification of any pending stock shortages to key departments.
• Oversee management of items whilst in stock to protect against damage, theft, losses, etc
• Oversee accurate issuing of items from stock to production
• Ensuring quality objectives are met.
• Responsible for regular cycle counts of all stock items and investigation of variances
• Responsible for monthly full stock take and investigation of variances.
• Coordinating the use of automated and computerised systems
• Keeping stock control systems up to date
• Planning future capacity requirements
• Producing regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Briefing team supervisors on a daily basis
•Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
