Project Manager for electromechanical works of design and build Doha South Terminal Pumping Station
Improving the operational systems, processes and policies of the company, in support of organizations mission, specifically, supporting better
management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
* Managing and increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, IT, Project and Finance), through improvements to each function
as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
* Acting as project liaisons between various departments, and ensure that all project activities are in support of overall project goals and the company's
business objectives.
* Outlining project plans, defining the deliverables, and making sure that each phase of the project is completed within time and budget.
* Coordinating project implementation and providing stakeholders and senior management with regular progress reports.
* Playing a significant role in long‐term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
* Managing projects from concept to commissioning, developing and coordinating realistic project estimates, plans and metrics.
* Developing project plans, Monitoring, measuring and communicating project progress, potential risks & delays to the top management.
* Taking the lead in driving cross‐sites collaboration and resolving any site‐related conflicts.
* Monitoring regulatory and legal requirements related to the projects.
* Organizing weekly/fortnightly site updates and Conducting due diligence and market intelligence for upcoming projects.
* Keeping updated with the technology involved and assisting in finalizing the order specifications for different requirements.
* Handling day‐to‐day coordination with existing sites and managing the sites independently through Relationship managers stationed at respective
sites.
Leading a team of employees with the responsibility of ensuring satisfactory completion of the project within approved schedule / cost & with good
quality/safety performance, driving a focused execution strategy to achieve the project goals.
* Developing of Macro Planning model for the project, managing overall planning, coordination, and control of project from beginning to completion.
* Responsible for the Logistic Planning, System Package Allocation, procurement strategy formulation, finalization of contracts and acquiring goods
or services to accomplish the goals of the company to maintain the quality and value of the company's objectives.
* Analyzing the drawings and determining the details of materials required to accomplish the project and preparing the material take off (MTO) and
with the aid of the material takeoff, creating bill of materials (BOM).
* Formulating BOQ and submitting the same to the Contractor to quote the rates for each item in the BOQ.
* Coordinating with commercial department to initiate action to float tender enquiries, Bid analysis, short listing of tenders after techno‐commercial
meetings and final selection of vendors and sub‐contractors for the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls systems of the projects.
* Reviewing & Approving Technical Submittal’s and coordinating with procurement team for vendor finalization.
* Monitoring and reviewing sub‐contractors’ activities and scope creeping to identify potential issues and proactively identifying solutions to redress
them.
* Checking and approving variation orders or change orders to alter the scope of works through addition, substitution or omission from the
original scope of works claims for the payment
* Coordinating with site team for timely completion of projects, closely monitoring the cost and time schedules and ensuring that the original planning
is still viable with an eye on cost optimization and savings on budgeted cost and expediting the project ahead of schedule.
* Forecasting manpower requirements to HR department and assisting them in experience sourcing and recruitment process. Also coordinating with
HR to provide professional development for leadership positions.
* Regularly monitoring construction operations to confirm, they are being carried out in accordance with operations strategy, quality standards,
policies, procedures and best practices.
* Conducting site visits, site meetings with site team to understand and ensure work progress as per schedule and resolving any issues which may
hamper the progress of the project
* Coordinating with facility management for initiating protocol for the testing, and commissioning of systems, and liaising with clients PMO to witness
the testing and evaluation of the project and ensuring optimal client satisfaction and a good working environment to attain all set objectives.
* Managing testing and commissioning team to facilitate the testing, pre‐ commissioning, commissioning, startup and handing over of all electrical
and mechanical equipment and HVAC.
* Performing project hand over and contract closure activities after ensuring the project has addressed all the terms/ conditions and fully met the
exit criteria

calibration pigging, and Cathodic protection
