Reported directly to General Manager and regional in the United States. Served on 8 member board of management team. The total number of employees in Egypt is approximately 550. Managed HR team of 6 and established new team structure and job roles to enhance individual members and team effectiveness. Major responsibilities included, among others:
HR & Company Strategy. Developed, negotiated and implemented short and long term HR strategies in conjunction with negotiated company objectives developed by the Board of Management.
Policies & Procedures. Developed and implemented new policies and procedures for, among others, attendance, recruitment, discipline, training, commissions, and integrity, in line with Egyptian Labor Law, international company guidelines, and international labor standards (SA 8000).
Job Grading. Retained and worked with Hay in implementing new job grading system for all employees in the company.
Salary Structure/Equity Adjustment. Developed a new salary structure for all employees based on market surveys. Negotiated and implemented a 3 year salary equity/increase system to bring the company's salary in line with market
Staff Training Program. Develop and implement targeted training program for every member of staff for the purpose of increasing productivity.
Managerial Training Program. Develop and implement targeted training program for managers for the purpose of enhancing managerial talent pool, creating unified management team.
Succession & Talent Development Program. Develop and implement training program for potential successors and identified talent. Developed documented succession plan for company.
Signatory Authority and Co-Acting CGM in Absence of CGM. Authorized signatory on company checks. Co Acting Country General Manager for one (1) month in the absence of the Country General Manager.
Employee Relations Activities. Implemented, managed and established range of employee relation activities.
