Duties and Responsibilities:
•Manage and follow up patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings with main focus on neurorehabilitation
•Prescribe and administer treatment for different age groups; paediatrics, adults and geriatrics patients, using varies therapeutic methods procedures to achieve excellent outcomes for each patient through individualized care
•Perform electro diagnosis including nerve conduction studies or electromyography of neuromuscular disorders and other diagnostic procedures including ultrasonography to determine need for and extent of therapy
•Prescribe orthotic, prosthetic and adaptive equipment to maximize patient function and self-sufficiency
•Work collaboratively with all caregivers to build a truly interdisciplinary approach to care delivery
•Review physicians’ referral, patients’ condition and medical records to determine appropriate physical therapy plan
•Maintain accurate patient documentation, records and statistical information to reflect care provided and to meet professional standards and guidelines
•Supervise students on rotation and undergraduate and graduate students undertaking dissertations and research projects
•Organize effectively journal clubs, interdisciplinary rounds and conferences
