• Act as the Company representative for all day to day QA/QC matters with the Contractor and the Client during the program execution.
• Review the Programme-wide quality management (QA/QC) plan, to be provided by the Client and then work with the Senior Project Manager (and Project Director) to develop, manage and update a Project-specific quality management strategy and Quality Management plan.
• Establish Project QA/QC procedures to integrate with Programme-wide procedures.
• Undertake monitoring and reporting of Project non-conformances and issue of non-conformance requests.
• Administer the quality assurance and quality control regime.
• Manage, oversee, monitor and report on the progress of construction works with respect to quality.
• Provide input to the Project’s weekly and monthly report in terms of quality.
• Manage the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) in the technical supervision of the Works, to include inspection and monitoring of the quality of the Works, deficiency correction reporting and issue of non- conformance requests and signing-off of quality of work.
• Establish regular QA/QC meetings to review QA/QC compliance and formulate action items.
• Manage the quality aspects of the PM’s Performance Management Framework (PMF) to successfully achieve all the established quality elements of KPIs and Milestones.
• Management of the PM’s Construction Management team and Client’s Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team during the post-contract construction phase and provide oversight for the Main Contractor's delivery of quality.
• QA/QC management of Project’s fit-out and commissioning stages.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring that the quality management system (QMS) is fully implemented in an organized and efficient manner. The QA/QC Manager is responsible for delegating and assigning tasks to QA/QC Supervisors and working closely with related engineering, construction and all departments. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and QMS requirements.
• Advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
• Managing the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities including:
- Planning duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules.
- Identifying and developing QA/QC personnel certification requirements and continuing education/training needs.
- Providing leadership, mentor ship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel.
• Managing plant integrity through a failure analysis reporting system and following up on recommendations.
• Oversee supervision of all visual inspections including 3rd party subcontractors.
• Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval
• Designs projects and/or review architectural or engineering plans, specifications and contract documents.
• Identify and develop solutions to correct inspection function deficiencies.
• Manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection and QMS internal audits.
- Follow the daily plan as per the guidance of shift coordinators.
- Monitor the concrete Q.A activities on project different sites and ensure their compliance with TC standard and
specification.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee the lab, inspection, pouring, after casting and concrete repair processes through reviewing schedule
information, plan, and readiness of the site before any pouring activities as instructed by Shift Coordinator.
- Maintain compliance of all on-site concrete tests, pouring activities with American concrete Institution (ACI)
standard.
Safety:
- Monitor the implementation of the contractor’s health and safety plan on the construction site.
- Coordination with contractor & consultant safety representative for site visit arid find solution to urgent, critical
safety issues.
Precast:
- Ensure all erection materials are within the acceptable standards in project site.
