● Daily inspection at the workplace and issue various work permit
● Educate the workers on Safe working practices and their role as an employee.
● Carry out weekly toolbox talk and inform them of incidents on from the previous week to strengthen the safety awareness
● Enforce for the compliance of safety rules and ensure supervisor takes full control of people with special needs of a kind. Example, young workers.
Daily inspection at my area of control and report anything that has the ability to cause harm on the course of the day's work.
•Serves as a mouthpiece between the workers and the Safety management by reporting all the workers welfare demands and communicate to the workers about the safety procedures.
•To assess the workers individual performance and identify training needs required and communicate with the appropriate supervisor.
•To ensure all the workers under my control participates in the weekly toolbox talks and ensures they understand every jargons used.
•To represent the workers in all meetings that requires the views of the workers.
Ensure sufficient risk assessment for all routine and non-routine activities, Safety training and maintain records, reporting of incidents and suggesting control measures and Conducting facility toolbox talk and management safety briefings.
•Safety inspection for all machineries and portable equipment in use and maintain checklist.
•Prepare monthly safety meeting topics, Conducts monthly fire, First Aid and /or evacuation drills.
•Permit to work: Understanding all aspects of Permit to Work functions including job risk assessments and isolation risk assessments etc.
•To investigate and report on complaints of unsafe act and unsafe conditions to the Associate Director and/or other appropriate senior staff;
•To respond to employees safety concerns;
•To advise the Board’s Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees on decision making concerning safety issues at the workplace;
•To respond to fires and other emergencies on or around the work environment;
•To receive reports and respond to orders from Department of Labour inspectors.
Educate on fire prevention.
Educate on what to do in case of fire and ensure the workers are familiar with the emergency signs.
Raised the alarm in case of fire.
And educate on the use of fire extinguisher.
