•Duties and responsibilities include:
•Training and supervision of upgrade trainees. Domestic electrical
installations and Home maintenance of electrical systems
•Designing and installation of stand by generators’ circuits to an existing
building circuit.
•Cable jointing and layout for underground lighting and supply to
machinery. Installation, programming, configuration and commissioning
of variable speed drives on various given plant equipment as per planned
work orders. Servicing and maintenance of battery charging equipment
to ensure the integrity of underground and industrial lamps.
•Supervised trainees on given projects, ensuring that safety and legal
standards are adhered to.
•Perform planned and un-planned maintenance schedules and ensuring
that they are accurately performed.
•Overhauling, maintenance and installation of electrical AC and DC
motors. Bearing installation and greasing on AC and DC motors within
the given plant equipment
•Designing, installation and maintenance of electrical circuits and motor
starters.
•Carrying out shift work and stand-by duties.
•Record Plant Electrical Meter readings and calculated Plant Energy
utilization, liaisedwith Operations Manager on implementingenergy
saving measures.
•Monitoring and advising user departments on the Electrical settings of
plant machinery to optimize production performance.
•Erection and maintenance of electrical power lines.
•Liaise with planningpersonnel to ensure work done is recorded to
implement continuous improvement in all areas of the plant.
•Installations and maintenance of new electrical equipment as per
planned and un-planned work orders.
•Maintenance planning, spares management and filling in of job-cardsto
enable procurement of critical spares.
