Data Engineering Team - Established the right processes according to Agile best practices so that the team's velocity has increased. Defined KPIs for DQ for ingestions (800+ jobs) so that businesses could trust the data. The main Stakeholders were portfolio managers from the Insights Team & Data Science lead who had ML solutions deployment for various business departments.
Data Platform Team - Mature team mainly focusing on support of Cloudera Hadoop Ecosystem, Kafka data Streaming, DevOps for Azure resource deployment & Dataiku for supporting the data science team in Enterprise Analytics. Planned migration to the cloud from on-premises servers, IAM-like SSO extension to all company's SaaS products. Security remediation and compliance issues resolution and preventive maintenance planning, extensive backlog which had input from 11 Scrum teams in EA.
Consulted team on product selections for ETL. Worked with EGIT (Emirates Group IT) to manage solutions integrations.
Liaised with EGIT to negotiate available technology usage giving considerations from the cybersecurity team.
Designed and programmed Oracle ETL solution for DFO (Tickets booking system), PROTAS (finance reporting DB), OCEAN (Emirates Holidays), TBX (Arabian Adventures).
Designed and implemented Data Warehouse Model used for dnata Travel BI reporting on BI SQL server. GDPR (2016)- Compliant
Designed and implemented multiple REST API solutions for Vendors. Created Packages for SSIS server for a daily incremental load of data. (PWC, VERCHASKA, QuadLabs, Etamis, InfoDynamics)
Set up BI tool (Sisense) API to meet BI team automation needs. Designed the first draft of Sisense training and Home pages.
Worked with Various BI tools to prepare reports. Tell the story behind the data and make visualisations/dashboards/reports more user-friendly. Enable the audience to see insight and patterns in the data so they can make data-driven decisions. Make data available for user exploration and investigation.
