I am currently interning with the Learning and Development team in the HR department of the largest law firm in the Middle East. And, I carry the following responsibilities:
For Lawyers:
• Assist in the induction and training of new lawyers joining the firm
• Carry out lawyers’ registration with the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department (“DGLAD”). This includes registration of new lawyers in our firm, renewals of licences and cancellations of the lawyers leaving our firm
• Ensure that our firm’s lawyers who are registered in Dubai satisfy the Continuous Legal Professional Development (CLPD) requirements in accordance with the bylaws, resolutions, and instructions regulating CLPD
• Accredit training courses, workshops and seminars with DGLAD, organising training sessions, gathering feedback to report to the DGLAD and updating and maintaining internal training records
• Assist in researching new training materials for lawyers
For Interns:
I handle the entire Internship Programme by myself, and also:
• Deal with internship applications, scheduling interviews and preparing and sending out offer letters to the selected interns
• Maintain intern summary reports
• Assist in the internship training programme, including preparing attendance and feedback reports and certificates
• Develop and Implement Brands' Social Media Strategy through various channels
• Develop engaging, creative, innovative content which engage audiences and promote brand-focused messages
• Identify influencers and work with them to increase engagement with company brands
• Identify new ways to attract prospective customers through promotions and competitions on social media channels
• Coordinate social media messaging with advertising departments, brand managers and seasonal company goals
• Ensure that all campaigns are planned, tracked and operate towards specific business
and growth objectives
• Measure and optimize campaigns on performance - ROI, retention, engagement etc
• Audit and analyses of social media presences, including digital advertising costs and returns
• Monitor and develop reports on competitor activity within social media spaces
• Assist the Marketing Head in Implementing activities as per the Events Calendar of the brands
• Monitor competitor activity and brainstorms potential improvements or changes in marketing strategy, products, or services
• Assist in securing access to major media channels and important sponsorships
• Writing press releases in accordance with the brand guidelines and circulating to the press and related organisations.
• Handling the press list and regularly sharing brand stories with the press and related organisations
• Preparing PR coverage reports and summeries
• Help in reviewing resumes, assist in conducting in-person interviews, complete and mail out job offers, handle client requests and liaise with recruitment agencies
• Learn the importance of employment law and compliance, regarding employment eligibility & confidentiality
• Record all resumes and personnel documents in HR
electronic folders and file physical HR records in HR filing cabinet
• The interrelationship of HR and Finance in the areas of new employee paperwork, payroll issues, use of a payroll management database & prepare pay slips
• Prepare salary certificates, authorization letter, salary transfer letters, experience certificates, employment letters, NOCs and absconding letter
• Prepared renewals of work permits and batches on the TAS’HEEL service provided by the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation
• Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of Market Research data before it is entered and report errors to supervisors if any.
• Maintain logs of activities and completed work and report it daily to the manager.
• Direct and coordinate activities for On-Air radio shows.
• Developing ideas for programs and features that a station could produce.
• Review information about programs and schedules to ensure accuracy and provide such information to the Radio Hosts.
• Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of Market Research data before it is entered and report errors to supervisors if any.
• Maintain logs of activities and completed work and report it daily to the manager.
• Greet patrons attending entertainment events at the VIP stand, maintain order and ensure adherence to safety rules
• Refuse admittance to undesirable persons or persons
without tickets or passes and administer control of only the authorized personnel in the VIP arena
