homeroom teacher to a class of grade 3 learners, teaching English, Mathematics and Sciences, taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age students, organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment, planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class, motivating students with enthusiastic, imaginative presentations, maintaining discipline and engaging lessons at all times, preparing and marking work to facilitate positive student development, providing feedback to parents and caregivers, coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area, working with other staff members to plan and coordinate work, keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum, organising and taking part in school events, outings and activities.
As Head of Department for my phase I conducted workshops, provided new staff members with induction, did evaluation on phase level teachers teaching during demo classes, checked on marking and files (lesson plans, assessments) of phase level teachers, provide assistance to other teachers where and when required.
Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum, teacher to grade 4 class, teaching English to grade 4 and 5, Economics to grade 7.
