• Selecting HVAC equipment - Air cooled / Water cooled chillers, Air cooled condensing units, AHU’s, Package units, FCU’s, VRF units using selection software
• preparing quotations for dealers and customers in accordance to their specifications and company policies / procedures
• Meet the dealers to identify their needs and enhance the company’s chances of securing orders
• Conduct product presentation for dealers and consultants if necessary
• Conduct price negotiations with dealers and establish final product specifications for order entries
• Prepare weekly activity and quotation reports to reporting manager
• Process Purchase order, enter order to the factory and coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Admin and Accounts department accordingly
• Review debtor’s list regularly and follow up with dealers to ensure collections are done on time
• Any other duties assigned by the management
• Worked in coordination with Architectural, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation sections
• Prepared Initial single line ducting diagram indicating the hazardous classification of the modules
with room categories of each building and by identifying the fire rated walls by coordination with
architectural team in order to locate the Fire and Gas dampers
• Perform Heating and Cooling load calculations
• Prepared single line diagram ducting PFD’s and single line diagram piping P&ID’s based on
calculation notes
• Selection of equipment like AHU’s, Heating coils as per the required heating KW and Air on and Off
temperatures, selection of Exhaust fans based on static calculated on ducting pressure drop
calculation following project specifications for equipment supply and reviewing performance curves
and efficiency of selected fans.
• Sizing and selection of Dampers, Grilles, Louvres and Valves.
• Lead a team of PDMS designers for providing a complete HVAC 3-D model with ducting and piping
by using my core HVAC knowledge following the site conditions
• Finalized equipment location, duct routing and Pipe routing by coordination with other disciplines to
avoid clashes and gave a good design
• Conducting 3-D model / design review meetings with client and getting approval
• Solving any technical issues / design issue or issues related to clash with other disciplines by giving
a solution acceptable to client by following all the HVAC and project requirements.
• Reviewing and submitting of ducting / piping layout drawings, ducting / piping isometrics
• Prepared equipment Material Take Off for all modules / buildings
• Coordinating with equipment vendors for delivering equipment required as per project specification
of equipment supply and ensuring the material used for the equipment is as per project standard
and suitable for the site conditions based on hazardous area classification.
• Preparing equipment General arrangement drawings and equipment Data sheets
• Attending equipment pre inspections
• Prepared Weight Data sheets for HVAC in each building
• Prepared Ducting pressure drop calculations and piping pressure drop calculations based on duct
and pipe isometrics extracted from the 3-D model
• Perform inspections of equipment and conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests)
• Working closely with the expediting team in terms of giving technical assistance when they require
while coordinating with the vendors for requesting quotations, acquiring the equipment certifications,
FAT reports, Inspection Release Certificates etc
• Review and approve the purchase orders created by the expediting team.
• Attend weekly meeting with the Russian Design Institute and close-out all mechanical related issues
• Responding to technical queries from client
• Supervising correct design as per the finalized 3-D model at yard from engineering side
• Supporting Construction team and responding to queries
• Assist Project Manager in documentation, planning, scheduling of deliverables to client and make
sure that deadlines are met and ensure client's satisfaction
• Assist Project Manager in preparation of Project Execution plan (PEP)
• Follows and promotes HSE standards of the company
• Design, develop and perform qualifications for Commercial use air conditioner units (Concealed Duct type, single Package type, Ducted split type) and parts.
• Confirm existing and new parts design by reliability tests and performance evaluation.
• Ensure parts design conform the requirements and guidelines, and other relevant international standards.
• Perform air conditioner capacity tests (Cooling and Heating), dew formation test, low temperature test, air blockage test, vibration test and overload condition test using Psychrometric Calorimeter to optimize pilot production.
• Systematically revise design specification through statistical process control and process capability analysis.
• Assist product start-up activities and provide test plan for quality confirmation of product release.
• Plan, investigate, research, review, execute and assess market claim countermeasures.
• Identify root cause and corrective action for pilot production
• Regulate documents in development steps, procedures, design quality and engineering standards.
• Generate and review Bill of Materials, part number matrices and new material reliability test standards.
• Cost Down Activities (Value Analysis / Value Engineering)
• Document and implement standard processes to improve yield, quality and productivity.
• Interact closely with other group on manufacturing issues to ensure smooth transition from design to production phase, which will be the basis in meeting the design schedule.
• Monitors, identifies, verifies and analyze process related and technical concern for pre-production lots.
• Communicate with fabricators, makers / suppliers and arrange trials of new developed parts.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, makers and designers for components selection and specification.
• Supervise pilot production of new models and trial evaluation of new parts
