• To acquire, manage, grow and service new-to-bank and existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing corporate clients in the small to mid market segment.
• Maximising portfolio revenue from existing client base with emphasis on building the relationship base with regard to secured and unsecured lending product offerings.
• Analysis of financial data, preparation of credit reports and monitoring account activities.
• Cross sell bank product offerings like LCs, Guarantees and other Trade Products.
• Ensuring implementation of banks credit and compliance policy.
• Generating referrals from existing borrowing and non-borrowing base to forward and backward integrate with existing relationships.
• Adherence to internal credit policy with regard to account monitoring, credit quality and reporting.
• Adherence to and implement the bank’s compliance policy with regard to KYC/AML and local regulations.
• Manage delinquent loan portfolio, negotiate and implement effective plans for recoveries of outstandings.
• Minimising and controlling delinquency levels of loans book. Restricting the flow of accounts to higher delinquent buckets that effected in reducing the NCL levels. Disciplined approach to pre-delinquency follow-up and tracking the flow from current to delinquency.
• Portfolio management which includes annual reviews, monitoring of risk & credit covenants, analysis of obligor risk ratings and ratio analysis.
• Directly reporting to the National Sales Head - Auto loans.
• Managing and handling a team of 5 and all relevant activities thereof (recruitment, training, development).
• Responsible for the auto loans business portfolio for the territories of Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai Festival City in Dubai handling mainly with HNWI for individual and corporate auto finance requirements.
• Efficiently handling dealer relationships falling under these territories and constant contact and meetings with the branch and sales managers of various automobile dealerships.
• Constant networking and interaction with various department heads within the bank namely credit, policy, collections and at branch levels and other department heads of consumer products namely credit cards, personal loans and wealth and priority banking units.
• Involved in the planning, formulating and implementing of various strategies that enhanced maximum productivity and achievement of overall sales targets.
• Attended workshops with regards to various modules in KYC, AML, CIPP and other global compliance modules.
• Providing financial advice to clients with regards to auto finance and all activities thereof which include identifying and sourcing clients for the bank and advising clients with the various auto loan schemes available and then processing of loans as per the credit and policy requirements of the bank.
• Establishing and maintaining excellent dealer relationships, assisting in authorizing automobile dealers to the banks network, constant networking and coordination with other areas of the bank that is related to auto finance such as the Credit, Operations, Collections and Branch Departments, establishing and maintaining excellent rapport with all these departments, establishing and maintaining excellent relationship with other areas of consumer and retail banking such as personal loans and credit cards.
• Constant reporting to senior management with regards to sales figures and volume on a daily, weekly and monthly basis hence always been given aggressive sales targets, which has always been achieved.
• Directly reporting to the Sales Development Manager and always been second in line to the S.D.M.
• Managed and led the team when the S.D.M. was on leave and have always delivered results.
• Providing financial advice to clients with regards to investment product offerings that Citibank had within their investment product portfolio.
• Involved extensive sourcing and identifying of clients within the banks existing database as well as new to bank clients who had the potential to invest their money in the financial markets.
• Primarily involved in profiling the clients and advising with regards to where they can put their investment to maximize their return.
• To do this in the most professional manner, I had to be well informed on a daily basis on the behavior, trends and movements in the market with regards to the various financial markets
• Responsible for creating, building and maintaining database of clients to add to the bank’s retail portfolio and activities thereof which include identifying and sourcing clients through various selling methods and strategies.
• Responsible for creating market awareness of the bank’s various retail and consumer products and hence was involved in selling which included meeting and sometimes exceeding aggressive sales targets.
• Responsible for extensive and aggressive selling of mobile handsets and packages of the popular and leading cellular phone service provider.
