Taking charge as Shift In charge of EDC cracker plant i.e. Vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant which has capacity of 70000 tonnes/year.
Worked in Central Technical services for VCM plant. Implemented three MOCs i.e. zero chlorine project, implementation of CO analyzer in heater and packed column for EDC recovery.
Co-ordinate planning and executions of shutdown depending upon work requirements and prioritize tasks in a safe manner.
Review daily production reports, co-ordinate field activities, interpret routine laboratory test results to check operating conditions are appropriate.
Reviewing and updating SOP and SOC for plant operation, discussing and training given to operation people about safety procedures and ERCP, active participation and conducting mock drills.
Involved in Implementation of APC (Advanced Process Control) in VCM plant and stabilization of plant parameters after that.
Worked on Optimization of a cracker (fired heater) to improve its run length and managing its implementation. Also prepared SOP for improvement in its operation.
Member of the team for implementation of OTS (Operator training simulator) which is under progress.
Prepared the annual budget and involved in deciding norms for raw materials of plant.
Done daily hydrocarbon accounting of plant.
Leader of team for LFI (learning from incidents) project in plant for incidences since 2007.
I have completed my engineering being topper in most of the semesters and ended my engineering being third overall at university level. I have completed my internship after my third year of course from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Vishakh Refinery. There I was posted in Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit. I have completed my final year dissertation on "Study on cost effective and eco-friendly production of Hydrazine"
