Lead VAT compliance Specialist for Dutch Client. Client servicing, VAT return preparation, answering the queries from Tax authorities across EMEA region.
Prepare, review and submit indirect tax returns and related filings (VAT Returns)
•Assist in managing the indirect tax function, including developing and implementing strategies, controls, practices/protocols and planning opportunities.
•Consultants coordination for entities handled.
•Coordinate and ensure all VAT returns are submitted on timely manner
•Manage the VAT recovery and refund process (including travel and expenses claims)
•Review month-end indirect tax account reconciliations;
•Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis;
•Provide indirect tax compliance support to colleagues throughout the business including Accounting, A/P, A/R, and Finance.
•Participate in cross-functional projects. Prepare Journal entry templates for Reclassification entries - Transaction Type to Main account and currency conversion entries - Foreign to base currency.
•Other - Data Collections, Handling Queries related to return.
•Use of IT applications - 32-bit Mainframe (ICS, MICS), PeopleSoft, GAPS, Document Direct, OWM and Complex Spread sheets

•Preparing, reviewing & reporting of VAT returns, and consulting on VAT related concerns for our clients based in UK and some of the EU member states by analysing their reports (Income statement, trial balance, General Ledgers etc.)
•I have also helped the team by creating & executing Macros, with developers, to reduce the turnaround time for delivery of the returns to our clients.
