Support the development and implement a communications strategy for the Representation in conjunction with the programs team.
•Organize local, regional and international days/events/ campaigns
•Liaise with FAO regional office and HQ to maintain high visibility of FAO Lebanon office on FAO social media and communications platform
•Develop communications and public information materials for the FAO activities in Lebanon such as success stories, fact sheets, pamphlets, brochures, press releases, website content, and multimedia products in both English and Arabic languages.
•Prepare and support formulation of background notes, speeches, presentations and talking points for FAO events.
•Assist in organizing workshops, site visits, official opening ceremonies, interviews, TV and radio broadcast;
•Take part in meetings, training and workshops organized by the Regional Office to build the Regional Corporate Network of Communication focal points.
•Meet with INGOS, Municipalities and Private Sectors to establish
•Support local governance by contributing to the development of guidance documents and tools as well as advising on and supporting the mainstreaming of child rights at a local level.
•Ensuring coordination and optimization of activities being implemented:
•Calling TF meetings and associated meetings (workshop, orientation), setting the agenda, facilitating the meeting, sharing minutes and following-up on action points
•Supervise and organize with the support of the social workers available at the municipality of Tripoli the awareness raising initiatives including targeting employers and communication events
Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
•Manage and oversee social media content
•Measure the success of every social media campaign
•Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
•Use social media marketing tools
•Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
•Monitor user engagement and suggest content optimization
•Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
•Provide constructive feedback
