In charge of the Training and Development of three operating companies including Pepsi cola in Riyadh and Dammam; under the umbrella of Al Jomaih Consumer, Manufacturing and New projects Division, serving more than 4500 employees.

My responsibilities in the job:

Act as “Training & Development Manager” during his absence.

Maintain training programs current. 

Supervise other trainers and instructors in the training department to verify training is conducted as outlined in approved training materials and in a manner that motivates personnel to learn.

Verify that the training staff has obtained and is maintaining their technical and instructional knowledge and skills.

Develop training programs according to approved methodology.

Develop improved methods to meet training and facility objectives and goals as required. 

Assist in developing training policies that establish guidelines for all training functions. 

Identify the training needs of the employees at the beginning of the year and set a development execution plan. 

Deliver some customized courses as “Planning Skills and Projects Management”, “Business Writing Skills”, “Effective Communication Skills”, “Internal Customer Service”, “Outlook as a Time Management Tool”, “Supervisory Skills” and other related programs to both company employees and CSR trainees.

Design and develop Basic and Soft Skills training materials. 

Cooperate with recruitment department by interviewing job applicants and testing their proficiency in the basic and soft skills.

Edit the language of some HR announcements and communiqués in addition to HR publications.

Adopt and execute some training and HR related projects.  Prepare and lead company events like Long Service Awards Ceremony.



My main achievements in the job:

Playing a significant role in the acquisition of another company, building a plan of smooth handover, in a 3-billion SAR project. 

Participating in raising the percentage of Saudization at the company through, providing Corporate Social Responsibility training courses to public organizations in the society like universities, ministries etc.

Raising the ROI of basic and soft skills among the trainees, represented in better job performers and even star performers. 

Coordinating with HR to link the Competencies of employees and their career paths with the skills at annual appraisals and Performance Development Review.

Increasing the total training hours for company employees, while reducing the cost of training.

Developing the approaches of training paying much attention to the E-learning training programs which have proved high effectiveness in saving time and effort maintaining the same quality of development. 

Coaching and developing the capability of other subordinates and team members even from other departments to become able to deliver some training courses. 

Publishing a new handbook for new employees.

Developing the English speaking skills of some employees in managerial and supervisory positions which was obvious in avoiding miscommunications and in being productive in their emails as well as business meetings.

Reaching 98% of delivery of company orientation sessions as a part of the onboarding process of new joiners, which raised their motivation to perform especially when career paths are illustrated.
