-Implementation and coordination of the Health, Safety and Environment Plan. In case of infractions, reports to the site Engineer for immediate corrective action.
-Conduct daily site safety inspection to ensure compliance to the safety requirements/rules and regulation.
-Preparing reports of violations using the Unsafe Condition/Practice form.
-Inspect and maintain good housekeeping in all areas.
-Report all accident/near misses, and maintains log recording of all pertinent accident information.
-Communicate safety statistic, accident reports as per required.
-Ensure that equipment to be used in construction is safe; operators are trained and licensed, if required by Qatar Government or Client
-Conduct monthly inspection of Fire Extinguishers.
-Perform daily site safety inspection and ensure corrective actions are implemented, as per re-quired.
-Monitor all areas for any Unsafe Conditions/Practices and implement timely ratification.
-Participate in safety committee meeting and attend seminars/trainings if required to do so
-Conduct weekly inspection of Safety Harness and replace immediately if defective
-Conduct daily inspection of Manlift to ensure that it is in good condition
- Inspect the department to ensure the workplace meets
the various safety requirements.
- Respond to reports of unsafe conditions (e.g. electrical
hazards, loose stair treads, etc.) by requesting repairs or
maintenance. In some circumstances, material may have
to be prepared for annual submission to the Repairs and
Alterations budget.
- Implemented various health and safety regulations as per
required procedures.
- Follow up on any deficiencies noted during inspections,
and ensure that they are corrected
