Regional Marketing Director, (KSA, Levant, North Africa, Iraq and Turkey), Careem Basecamp, Dubai UAE
• Leading a marketing organization of 30+ marketeers in 8 countries including a regional team in headquarters in Dubai.
• Manage various verticals including ride hailing, deliveries and payment with an accountability of trip and revenue targets
• Set launch strategies for new markets with a full go to market plan
• Guide performance efficiencies across all consumer offerings to ensure a profitability
• Supervise the creation of regional campaigns and content curation as well as the roll out of global brand campaigns across the markets
• Building the captain marketing function within Emerging Markets across Careem Operations
• Tailoring captain propositions across various EM markets that delivers on KPIs of captain acquisition retention or engagement
• Profiling and segmentation of the captain base across various markets.
• Leading teams across 8 different markets in creating marketing initiatives for captains and supporting them across the overall stages of the supply funnel.
• Bridging the gap between captain and customer communication under the overall Careem brand.
• Working closely with digital team on various digital targeting strategies and tactics in Captain acquisition
• Promoting the captain brand and showcasing it to boost captain acquisition.
• Improving captain communication experience across all touch points leading to increase in captain engagements and retention.
• Develop roaming strategy
• Working closely with Vodafone Group on implementing worry free roaming agenda across footprint
• Running the full product portfolio annual commercial activities calendar
• Responsible for the P&L of the consumer Voice Data and SMS revenues
• Responsible for the E2E customer experience of Vodafone Roaming base
• Develop & ensure proper execution of the Post-Paid Int. & Roaming Strategy & Plan
• Implement Post-Paid International & Roaming Propositions
• Expand the understanding of Post-Paid International& Roaming market
• Growing the international and roaming penetration within postpaid base
• Collaborated in implementing the strategic initiative of tapping into the internet market
• Own the development of the 5 year DSL strategy to be included in Vodafone Egypt’s 5 years plan (LRP)
• Work with support functions to ensure strategy is reflected on their plans and business profitability is maximized.
• Participate on all the commercial planning activates in terms of calendar creation and prioritization of the commercial activates
• Own all acquisition propositions and promotional activities.
• Monitor and propose acquisition activities through different channels
• Work with Marketing Communications to develop appropriate support materials and communication items necessary for a successful product launch into the market.
• Support in preparing solid launch plan for each proposition, including metrics to monitor post launch.
• Recommend future Propositions to increase our customer's entanglement and position Vodafone as technology leader.
• Ownership of the corporate brand development and internal branding for all subsidiaries.
• Supervising external agencies on various below the line marketing activities and collaterals
• Leading a team of 5 employees in organizing Raya Summit; Raya’s most important corporate event.
• Editor in Chief of Raya’s External newsletter; Connect.
• Editor in Chief of the internal newsletter.
• Responsible for revamping the intranet
• Planning the corporate events agenda, analyzing the event statistics and preparing post event reports.
• Organizing employee recognition activities.
• Teaming up with the IT Department to design an automated Customer Database using an Oracle Module
