Practiced procurement procedure based on company standards from Material/Purchase Requisitions
evaluation, tender invitation, PO processing, delivery, and payment.
• Generates enquiries to legitimate / potential source of material like Manufacturers, Distributors Partners,
Sub-contractors, Ship chandlers, Approved Service providers and ensure complete documents are provided
on time (Quotations, Datasheets, Material Certificates, and Service Certificates if required).
• Evaluates proposals commercially and technically (perform technical pre-qualification and suggest potential
alternatives).
• Processed purchase orders after necessary evaluations and approvals. Ensures suppliers compliance
technically and commercially.
• Ensures contracts are reviewed and approved by company’s legal department prior processing which are
mutually agreed by the client/end-user and supplier/service provider.
• Ensures total procurement cost of supply of material and services is within the allocated budget.
• Coordinates with the vendors in all stages of procurement process if required.
• Maintains and updates vendor’s database, evaluates and introduced new vendors, conduct vendors
assessments and ratings etc.
• Determined EOQ with identified carrying and holding cost provided by client, lead-time consumptions, and
minimum, maximum & reorders level (MIN-MAX).
• Conducts Statistical Analysis regarding demand estimations, trend consumptions, and demand forecasting.
Responsible of sourcing Yard's requirement of materials (MRO, Electrical, IT, Safety, CAPEX, and OPEX related
items) by obtaining quotes from suitable local and international Suppliers. Negotiated prices with vendors and
creates computerized purchase orders following evaluation of quotations obtained. Coordinates with Engineering
department in case there are technical deviations. Highlighted to the material control sections regarding repetitive
items being purchased to enable creation of these items into stock or put it into contract if required. Monitors
outstanding purchase orders against estimated delivery dates and following up on the deliveries to ensure on time
deliveries. Liaise with Accounts Dept. in order to settle disputed invoices. Maintain adequate correspondence files
for all purchases. Liaise with user departments & Material Control Section to ensure correct specifications are
quoted on orders.
Responsible in Production Testing process by providing full Technical supports, provided test flow required based
on the product testing procedures, provides and install testing equipments, assists and instruct operators for testing
processes. Prepares and gathers test log files if any technical issues encountered to be given to Clients for their
reference and further analysis. Prepare daily production test reports to evaluate rejected materials. Examines and
provides repeated testing for New Products required Limited Production Phase (LPP) for accurate and high quality
products.
Responsible to make sure that products meet standards of quality, make sure that everything from raw materials to
finished products meet quality and safety standards specified in the purchasing documentation. All production
processes, whether large or small, requires elements of quality control and all inspection and testing is carried out to
specified requirements that have been agreed between the purchaser and the supplier. Ensure all out going deliveries
are inspected and with certificate of compliance.
Operates Automated Crimping machines that required manual inspection to ensure all crimped wires are in good
conditions and to prevent mass rejection of the products. Make sure all safety measures are followed before
proceeding production.
