HSSE Leadership & Compliance: Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a safety-first culture and maintaining compliance with environmental and safety regulations. As a staunch advocate for safe working environments, I actively participated in "3 HSSE Golden Rules" programs (Comply, Intervention, Care), conducted regular HSSE Marshal walkabouts, and encouraged Service Company personnel to be proactive in identifying and eliminating unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

Participated in the Drilling Contractors' "STOP WORK AUTHORITY" program to identify unsafe conditions, performed one full STOP walkabout per week and encouraged active participation by all Service Company personnel in the SW program to eliminate incidents before they occur. Conducted and reviewed all SWA reported by the drilling crew monthly and selected the best monthly SWA and shared it with all drilling rig operations and O&M-related teams.
• Superintended a dynamic team of 50+ Safety Officers and 300 project crews under Capital Project Management across various locations at the Facility Engineering team during mega projects at DSF areas Heavy Oil Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Presiding over day-to-day operations of the HSE department, establishing long-term HSE strategy, HSE 5-year Business Plan, Operating Budget and HSE master plans in line with company HSE objectives.
• Commanding all elements of the HS&E function, including annual operating plan, HS&E management systems deployment, compliance audits, best practices exchange, event reporting and corrective action closures, internal/ external reporting and compliance assurance.
• Steering continuous improvement in HSE stewardship directed toward preventing accidents & eliminating safety hazards. Promoted, demonstrated and instilled Chevron’s culture/ way to protect its people and environment.
• Championed on-site HSSE awareness and safe performance with the contractor and Project Management Team.
• Managing onboarding of EPC contractors, Subcontractors & Vendors to site, ensuring all relevant HSSE requirements are met before the start of site works. Ensuring continual improvement of contractor HSSE management system.
• Providing expert HSSE advice to PMT, contractor Project Area Managers & disciplines during all phases of the Project.
• Enforcing compliance with SIMOPS and relevant HSSE programs for Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and start-up.
• Chairing safety meetings, and reviewing safety reporting/analytics, to identify key safety development requirements.
