Responsible to lead and manage the Nursing Team of Paediatric Oncology, Stem Cell, Bone
Marrow transplant and Internal Medicine, to oversee all the activities within the units, to teach,
supervise and manage all staff involved in direct patient and family care to the optimum level, to
involve in clinical practice, management and research.

1. Identifies and analyzes on an on-going basis the training needs of care providers.
2. Formulate and develop plans, procedures, and program content to meet identified training
needs and objectives
3. Participate in planning curriculum, teaching schedule, and course outline.
4. Cooperate with medical and nursing personnel in evaluating and improving teaching and
nursing practices
5.Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge, and publish findings in professional
journals, books, and/or electronic media

1. Develop goals and objectives related to her field and provides input for the smooth
operations of the staff/ student health services.
2. Assist In the preparation of budget for student/staff health and monitor s expenses to
ensure that these remain within the budget.
3. Monitor student immunization and maintains an updated record.
4. Develop appropriate forms to maintain records of employee/student health services for
administrative purposes.
5. Maintain statistical records. E.g., immunization, physicals of students, pre-employment
physical examination and forwards to concerned Nursing Manager and submit reports to
the Director, Nursing services.
6. Provide health services health service/guidance and health education to employees and
students coming to CHC pertaining to treatment prescribed.
7. Implement health care programmes for Medical College, School Of Nursing, IED
Students
8. Monitors stock of vaccines and prepares requisition for the purchase as when required,
and gets it signed by the Head Nurse.
9. Develops health teaching materials for students and employees and conduct health
teaching programmes as required.
10. Coordinates pre-employment physical examination for candidates who are offered
position at AKU.
11. Checks all pre-employment scheduled files for reports and coordinate with X-Ray,
Medical Records and Laboratory department.
12. Coordinate periodic physical examination of food handlers.
13. Makes routine decisions, autonomously, retains control in emergencies, support staff
members under stress.
