My function was to travel to different Projects within South Africa and cross boarders were the Projects are e.g. D.R.C. Congo; Botswana; Mozambique Kenya etc. to Audit them as a QA/QC on the Management systems and ISO values. In some cases in South Africa I hade to sign off electrical as I have my SA MIE license and can sign off any Petrochemical; Gas; Chemical Project. As all plants had QC inspectors and they were under my control. My other function was to do Inspection on all manufacturing equipment no matter were it was made. I hade to do Expediting on all equipment in or out of the country.
Manage daily activities for site electrical & instrumentation installations
Co-ordinate & manage the interface of multiple contractors for MEP, C works
Overseeing installation of transmission lines 132kV
Preparation & submission of quality documentation, procedures, manuals, etc.
Oversee all site-based QA/QC functions on daily basis
Write up COC certificates for final hand over certificates.
Liaise with client teams for successful operation & handover of plant
Auditing sub-contractors with their QC data packs in place.
Hold meetings with all parties, to make sure all the QC documentation is in order and Confirm with the work done. Have meetings with the client to make sure all data books, that is required is on schedule, and have been signed off by all parties.
