Responsibilities:
Promote health and safety within the organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working. Application of programs to remove the hazards from the work place and to correct unsafe work practices
Inspect and test machinery and equipment to make sure they meet safety regulations.
Make sure that personal protective equipment is being used in workplaces according to regulations
Provided HSE input to projects for decommissioning of export and storage facilities. Directed project teams in development of project HSE philosophies, participated in technical reviews, P&IDs, HSE Plans and procedures
Leadership of multidisciplinary teams for performing risk assessments, site inspections, HSE audits, incident investigations and root cause analyses
Responsible for compiling HSE statistics and delivering regular reports to senior management
Ensured that all HSE findings and recommendations were meaningful, understood, monitored and closed-out in a timely manner
Provided specialist HSE advice and support to company assets, including three offshore platforms, onshore production facility, onshore pipelines, and LNG plant and oil export terminal during transition from commissioning to operations… Particular challenges included work in remote areas with severe winter conditions and improving behavioral safety in company with developing safety culture. Leadership and mentoring of colleagues in international best practice
Acts in an advisory capacity on all matters pertaining to health and safety for the guidance of the employer and the workers

Provides input on bid decisions, proposal development, and estimates (scope, constraints, schedules, budgets) with respect to integration and compliance with safety requirements
Provides safety technical support and assistance to projects and coordinates safety requirements and formulation of risk reduction measures with project-assigned safety personnel, engineering, and construction and onsite ES&H representatives during construction
Participates in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors to advise them of safety requirements that may affect project design, schedule, and cost
Drafts comprehensive ES&H plans, project specific risk reduction plans, safety awareness training programs, and technical reports
Provides recommendations and input for revising safety procedures, work processes, and other quality improvement measures
Flexible in performing other duties or shift within ES&H (e.g.; training, emergency response activities, night shift coverage etc…) as directed by the Project ES&H Manager or designee
Conducts safety inspections/assessments of project construction activities to monitor compliance with applicable safety and health requirements including contractual commitments, permits, and the project’s ES&H plan
Responsible for setting standards and implementing health risk assessments, per the BP Health Risk Assessment (HRA) standard, across all operational facilities and for supporting the HRA process in project design and construction phase Aligned corporate HSE standards based on BP procedures with statutory CLIENT Industrial Controls requirements
When in supervisory role, implements personnel policies (e.g., conducts employee performance evaluations) and provides technical direction to staff
Advanced knowledge in a field of science, process engineering, or related discipline
Knowledge of safety procedures, engineering systems, principles, and methodologies
