Supervision & order of all diet including special / modified diet orders to guarantee accuracy & quality of the order.
Assess Nutritional needs of the patient or client based on information.
Provided in the health record, referring health care provider(s) if referred and the initial meeting with the client.
Formulate a diet plan, involving the client, which ensures that the client receives appropriate and personalized dietary needs.
Provide the patient or client and/or the family with the needed knowledge and written instructions to carry out the nutritional plan while an inpatient and for home.

Prepare menus and food within the guidelines issued.
Carry out food lost control as required
The checking and recording of all food received, quantities of ingredients used and the number of meals produced and served
Carry out all clerical duties as required including all cash related duties
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, its equipment and surround
Ensure the security of the kitchen, associated stores and surround.
Ensure the Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Regulations are adhered to at all times.
Ensure that the Health and Safety at Work Act as defined by the County Council is observed within the kitchen and report any accidents in the kitchen or complaints regarding staff welfare
Report faults in equipment and request necessary day to day maintenance of premises.
Ensure that all staff work the required hours and that the correct break periods are observed.
Ensure that no food is removed from the premises
Be prepared to give practical help in any part of the kitchen should the need arise
Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
Empower the client to take active role in their health and the management of health/dietary problems if exist.
Follow up in & out patient or client by given contact number.
Established leaflets.
Improve knowledge & skills in therapeutic diet.
Provide nutrition education for individuals and groups.
Preparation of specialized community dietetic functions.
Designing education materials and evaluation forms.
Setting up Training activities for groups and Individuals
Training of college students.

Participate in building a database of studies and scientific research on food & Health.
Participate in the development of policies and legislation.
Put strategy and control programs on health, environment & food according to the best standards.
