• Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays, and other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities, and plan appropriate treatments.
• Design, make, and fit prosthodontics appliances such as space maintainers, bridges, and dentures.
• Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services.
• Fill pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials.
• Remove diseased tissue using surgical instruments.
• Apply fluoride and sealants to teeth.

• Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth
• Diagnoses condition and plans treatment.
• Treats exposure of pulp by pulp capping or removal of pulp from pulp chamber and root canal, using dental instruments.
• Performs partial or total removal of pulp, using surgical instruments.
• Treats infected root canal and related tissues, and fills pulp chamber and canal with endodontic materials.
• Diagnose and treat complex cases like curved canals and broken instruments
• Removes pathologic tissue at apex of tooth, surgically.
• Reinserts teeth that have been knocked out of mouth by accident.
• Bleaches discolored teeth to restore natural color.

• Prepares and submits a course of study including program objectives, student performance objectives and daily lesson plans.
• Provides related instruction and supervises student training in dental offices.
• Submits a report of the total number of hours of training the student received and the related skills achieved upon the completion of or termination of a student’s training.
• Assists in student placement activities.
• Submits accurate and timely attendance accounting and grade reports to supervisor.
• Attends staff meetings and other meetings as shall be required by director.
• Having interpersonal skills to gain the interest, respect, and cooperation of students.
• Follow instructions and work independently without constant supervision

• Educating patients on oral healthcare
• Examining teeth and diagnosing patients' dental conditions by using tools such as x-rays
• Assessing treatment options and agreeing treatment plans with patients;
• Carrying out agreed clinical treatments such as restoring teeth affected by Decay and treating gum disease
• Analyze and evaluate dental needs to determine changes and trends in patterns of dental disease.
• Eliminate irritating margins of fillings and correct occlusions, using dental instruments.
