job description:
- Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates hospital wide infection Control Program in collaboration within the infection Control Director and Committee in order to improve the infection prevention and Control practices within hospital.
- Acting as infection prevention and Control Director during his absence or vacation.
- Actively participates in updating infection control and procedures.
- Coordinates infection prevention curriculum for hospital orientation and continual education of employees and medical staff.
- Regular audits of relevant wards or units to ensure that infection control procedures are being carried out in accordance with hospital policy.
- Liaising with staff in all areas where potential risks of infection exist.
- Maintains documentation and records for infection prevention, surveillance, control and prevention.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on infection control.
- Identify the list of communicable diseases and provide information and global developments.
- Supervise the isolation of infectious cases.
- To perform any other tasks assigned to it within its competence
