I currently work as part of the treating team, the team includes a consultant, 1-2 fellows, 1-2 specialists, 2 residents, and an intern physician, my responsibilities are, making sure patients are receiving optimal care, delivering biopsies, lab tests, consults, to the responsible department, and remaining in direct contact for the results.
It was a great experience, I got introduced to the highest level of medicine the world has to offer. I have also learned how to read research papers, and guidelines to take appropriate patients for the patients. I was also tasked to look up countless pieces of information and present it to the residents, fellows, and consultants as PowerPoint files.
I have trained at most of the governorates in the North of Jordan, including Irbid, Ramtha, Ajloun, and Mafraq. My Training consisted of theoretical medicine, and practical medicine; The theoretical plan consisted of the 9 basic systems of the body, while my practical plan was divided into the 4 majors, 2 sub-majors, and all 9 minors, I had the opportunity to attend in every single department in the hospital, learning how doctors with different specialties approach diseases similarly and differently.
