Main responsibilities
1.Responsible for managing the academics and administration of the school.
2. Supporting teachers and coordinators on the content / curriculum / modules, their usage, applicability
3. Providing all teachers in the Primary School with a strong professional development program
4. Undertaking the professional appraisal of all teaching colleagues, following the agreed school-wide policy laid down by the principal
5. Supporting teaching colleagues in their different roles and undertaking disciplinary measures where appropriate;
6. Advising the Principal on Primary School staffing, budgetary and facilities needs;
7. Controlling and maximizing the use of assigned staff, the allocated Primary School budget, and the use of Primary School resources facilities;
8. Working closely with other Dept. Heads, particularly in the development of and coordinating the school-wide schedule and the use of facilities;
9. Providing a process of reporting regularly to parents on students' academic and social development and ensuring that all parents are aware of the school's procedures for following up their concerns.
Main responsibilities
1. Facilitating the long-term development of creative teaching and learning at a structural and systemic level
2. Acting as a facilitator in school, able to translate the school’s vision for creative learning into practical implementation
3. Facilitating the inter-classroom observations
4. Supervising all teaching and paraprofessional personnel
assigned to the academic core content area.
5. Facilitate the development and implementation of the curriculum document (curriculum guide) that contains the core curriculum benchmarks, resources, instructional strategies and activities, timelines, articulation maps, and common assessments
6. Supervise all assigned staff on a regular and routine basis in accordance with prescribed supervisory procedures and requirements including but not limited to brief informal visits and observations; review of lesson plans, methods, rankbooks and assessment materials, and review of grade distributions, survey results, and student and parent feedback.
7. Provide support, direction, and assistance to assigned staff relative to job performance, student/staff relations, problem-resolution, and professional growth.
8. Observe and evaluate all assigned staff, including those outside assigned disciplines
Main Responsibilities
1. Providing professional development for teachers by providing them with the additional support needed to implement various instructional programs and practices.
2. Developing, leading, and evaluating a school reading program from grades 1-6
3. Maintaining an organized system and accessible location for the storage and circulation of reading and writing materials.
4. Maintaining a comprehensive inventory of instructional materials and resources.
5. Identifying literature for use in all content areas in support of the curriculum.
6.Modelling and coaching instructional methods in a variety of settings (whole group and small group) and provide follow-up support.
