Engaged in general accounting tasks of Transamerica Corporation, such as book keeping, reconciliation, application of GAAP & IFRS using application systems such as AS400, Oracle discoverer, Essbase & etc. while ascertaining adherence to laws & regulations related to insurance industry in USA. Transamerica is a leading USA insurance company with A+ Fitch ratings which had reported 41 million USD in total revenue for the quarter ending March 2017.
Engaged in general accounting tasks, maintaining tax returns & preparation of monthly and annual financial statements related to the head office and outlets while implementing & evaluating internal controls for business activities.
Held the position of an Experienced Accountant after internship period, during which I specialized financial reporting framework and auditing practice related to Banking & Financial Sector of Sri Lanka.
Held internship of an Audit Associate performing audit & accounting related work which involved a variety of sectors such as Hotels, Non-Governmental Organizations, Export & Manufacturing industry, Service providing sector and Banking & Financial industry.
Completed Inter CA examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka Certificate in Accounting and Business – 1 (CAB – I held in January 2007) Certificate in Accounting and Business – II (CAB -II held in January 2010)
