• I started working with FEWA in DMS/GIS Integration project (Distribution Management System-GIS integration) I used my electrical engineering experience in the MV and LV networks to help and support the GIS, operation and maintenance and SCADA/DMS engineers to modify the GIS database to make it ready and suitable for DMS app.
My experience during FEWA GIS/DMS integration project:
Working with the DMS vendor (OSI and AMT) and FEWA engineers, GIS, and DMS team and coordinating between them.
Follow up with FEWA engineers (GIS, SCADA, operation and maintenance, network, planning, asset, and protection) to clarify the DMS requirements and to get the standard values and network specs such as the cable sequence components, 11KV OHL specs, distribution and power transformer specs etc.
Study and analyze the project documents; DMS specs document and GIS interface document and summarize the risks, comments, and questions to the DMS provider and FEWA.
Communicating with the O&M engineers to give them a full understanding of the DMS applications and show how it can help them in their daily work, decision making, etc.
Very good knowledge in the DMS application FLISR, FR, DPF, SOM, FPA, VVC, etc.
Provide FEWA engineers with technical support visits to troubleshoot and resolve GIS - DMS integration problems via emails, phone and site visits
I attended GISWORX 2016 - gistec annual event - and presented a workshop about the DMS/GIS integration requirements, benefits and full GIS - DMS integration process.

• Experience in the medium and low voltage networks installation.
• I have the ability to manage any kind of work on the MV/LV network (execution, maintenance, energizing or testing)
• Substation execution experience; 33/0.415 KV and 11/0.415 KV, including the transformer, MV & LV Switchgear -RMU, MV & LV cables, LV Panel Board, Capacitor Bank, CT, & VT and meter reading unit.
• Cables Installation experience; 33KV, 11KV, and 415V with different types and sizes and experience in joints.
• Substation testing, and energizing experience.
• Isolating and grounding experience for the working area (OHLs, transformers, RMUs, and cables)
• Transmission lines installation & removal experience 33 & 11KV steel lattice tower, wooden and concrete poles.
• Operation and maintenance experience in the emergency cases; heavy rain, snow, and high-temperature weather.
• OHL maintenance experience 33 & 11KV; live-line insulator washing, monthly and seasonal maintenance, OHL cleaning, trees cutting, thermal camera experience.
• Main substation work experience (33/11KV) such as isolating the CBs, doing the required testing and communicating with the SCADA team.
• Changing OHL network voltage from 33KV to 11KV and from 11KV to 33KV; changing the OHLs cross section, transformers, isolators, etc … as required.
• Converting OHL network to Underground.
• Experience working on: MEGGER, AVOmeter, phase rotation device, phasing device, earthling resistance test device, thermal camera for (transformers, OHL, panels)
• Read and write single line diagram (SLD).
