Core responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Daily staff briefings on Department developments, updates and incidents.
- Delivering in office short trainings and mentoring.
- Reporting and recording deviations from standard operating procedures, unsafe practices and faulty office ware
- Ensuring the shift runs smoothly against all odds overseeing approximately 400 flights
- Preparing duty allocations and staff monthly rosters.
- Upholding standards so that the product quality is not compromised.
- Providing support to Management, Department staff and other departments as needed
- Upholding safety at the highest standards
- Receiving and relaying messages plus replying to any customer inquiries verbal or written
- Regulating the usage of office supplies and ordering of fresh supplies in time
- Department planning to reduce costs and operate efficiently within the given budget
- Monitoring, reporting and recording staff performance
- Maximizing customer revenue returns by optimizing payload uplifts
- Crisis handling by following the Business Continuity Procedures and restoring operations to normal as fast as possible
- On spot decision making to resolve issues and liaising with superiors for matters up and beyond
- Building a strong resilient team that operates as one
- Preparation of Shift Reports
- Developing Department training programs as per company policy and operational requirements
- Annual, quarterly and monthly calendar planning for trainings for all categories
- Training nominations based on company policy.
- Arranging and handling of Accident and Incident investigations in liaison with management, filing and recording
- Recommending changes to operational procedures and training to minimize reoccurrence of incidents and accidents
- Ensuring quality and effective Communication with customers, stake holders other departments.
- Liaising with different departments and customers
- Developing a training and certifications matrix to ensure all staff records are in order
- Maintaining, updating and tracking validity of the training matrix to ensure that all staff are current
- Effectively providing training nominations to staff nominated for training
I worked with Entebbe Handling Services from 2008 to 2013 in Travel Document Verification. Among other roles, I had to provide excellent standards of customer service ensuring that customers went through the Airport procedures with ease and with the rightful documents making their journey more comfortable and worth going over again. Such responsibilities included ensuring that premium customers, and those with special needs get timely assistance, directing customers to their respectful check-in counters, and or gates, providing additional information required by the customers during their travel, keeping of records among others. During this time, I was rewarded with a certificate of excellence in service I will happily avail should you require it.
