2G, 3G and 4G Core Network Manager (Soft Switch/VoIP)
●Configurations and maintenance of SoftSwitch and Media Gateway.
● Monitoring and general maintenance of SoftSwitch.
●Provision and maintenance of MTP (Message Transfer Part), SIP, SCTP, SIGTRAN resources between SoftSwitch and other internal network elements such as Media Gateway, Application Server.
●Provision of signalling link and trunk data resources between SoftSwitch and all other external network operators such as Airtel, Globacom, Etisalat, MTN.
● Generate and analyse daily network traffic and KPIs trend analysis reports
● Good and practical knowledge of SS7, M3UA, SCTP, SIP and SIGTRAN.
● Design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the VoIP, Strategic Resource Planning and Management, Quality assurance and control. Analyzes, develops, and manages life-cycle initiatives for voice and signalling network infrastructure.
● Manage the highly complex VoIP network backbone, design call routing framework as well as execution. Developing, updating and documentation of business processes and Standard Operating Procedures, as well Orientation and training of new staff and interns. Remote technical support.
● Integration of SIP Trunk on IP-PBX systems, VPN and internet services design, integration and troubleshooting and Design and implementation of IP Video Surveillance solution.
● Working directly or indirectly with OEMs, engineers, vendors and consultants to resolve network issues, researching and testing new solutions and technologies.
● Operations and Maintenance of IPPBX
● Good knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switch configurations
● Good and operational knowledge of Core LTE
● Coordinating, managing of switch personnel and their activities which include their welfare, generation, coordination and evaluation of KPIs to meet company’s goals
● Planning, managing and control of entire Switch operations (core network budget).
● Planning, management, control and supervising the execution of all Core network and switch projects to ensure that they are completed effectively well and delivered within specified time.
● Analysis & Generation of Routes and traffics reports to the Senior Management Team for analysis and decision making.
● Directing activities of all contractors and vendors working for/in the switch locations nationwide to ensure that the company standards are adhered to.
2G, 3G and 4G Core Network Manager ( Soft Switch ATCA)
•Configurations and maintenance of Mobile Switching Centre (MSC-Softswitch), Media Gateway and Home Location Register (HLR)
• Provision and maintenance of MTP (Message Transfer Part) resources between MSC (Soft switch-ATCA) and other internal network elements such as Universal Media Gateway (UMG), HLR, Signalling Control Point (SCP), Message Centre (MC) and Base Station Controller (BSC).
• Provision of signalling link and trunk data resources between Starcomms MSC (& UMG) and all other external networks such as Airtel, Globacom, Etisalat, MTN, VGC, Visafone switches (MSCs) and all other PTOs connected.
•Good and practical knowledge of SS7, M3UA, SCTP and SIGTRAN.
• Daily and timely routing of calls and numbering prefix plan to other external networks based on trunks and routes congestion especially at peak and busy hours of making calls.
•Generate and analyse daily network traffic and KPIs trend analysis reports
• Number analysis data configuration as timely requested by Starcomms and other external network when such network gets approval of additional number ranges from NCC (Nigeria Communication Commission).
• Configuration of every new cell sites into the switch for LAI/GCI identification each time BSS (Base Station Subsystem) unit brings up additional BTS sites.
• Ensuring that both MSC & BSC network elements hardware & software run normally, timely troubleshooting to clear all the network affecting alarms generated on the system alarms console and also escalate the ones need to be handled by our vendor to promptly.
• Manages Bam servers, SMU server & client, emergency work station, iManager M2000 server & client for network performance measurement.

● Coordinating, managing of switch personnel and their activities which include their welfare, generation, coordination and evaluation of KPIs to meet company’s goals
● Planning, managing and control of entire Switch operations (core network and BSS budget ).
● Planning, management, control and supervising the execution of all Core network, BSS and switch projects to ensure that they are completed effectively well and delivered within specified time.
● Analysis & Generation of Routes and traffics reports to the Senior Management Team for analysis and decision making.
● Directing activities of all contractors and vendors working for/in the switch locations nationwide to ensure that the company standards are adhered to.
● Coordination of Execution of all planned network expansions which include the integration of all core and access network nodes expansions and new BTS integration.
● Recommends changes to processes, policies, and metrics to facilitate the improvement of department performance.
● Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff (engineers); ensures seamless execution of departmental policies, procedures and customer satisfaction.
