The role was responsible for monitoring and reporting the performance of the Saqqara Project in the key areas of HSE, schedule and costs and, as a member of the Leadership team, seeking innovative and practical solutions to minimise project risk and maintain target cost and schedule dates. Functional accountabilities included contracts and procurement, planning, cost engineering, accounting, risk management and administration. Managed and coached overall team of 25 people including both expatriate and national staff employed in multi-locations by BP, agencies and Gupco. Sought and implemented opportunities for increased nationalisation amongst team members.
The MPSG role was responsible for setting the standards, providing the resources and performance of assurance checks for the effective performance of all Company development projects in Australia. Also working with each of the Project Services Managers to deliver meaningful management information to inform decision making. As PSM for the Browse Development ($30bn) responsible for contracts, procurement, planning, cost control, finance & accounting, change management, risk management and HR/IT administration. Member of Browse leadership team, represented the Project in meetings with JV partners and stood in for the Project Manager.
