Ensuring Compliance with all Company policies, rules and procedures within the group and it branches
Ensure safe guard of the various assets of the Companies within the group
Review periodically the receivables, payables and quality assurance and Call over posting of daily transactions
Ensure compliance and spending within the approved budget for the group, report any variances thereon
Ensure correctness and accuracy of every record within the Companies
Ensure that all lapses are corrected within the stipulated time frame
Ensure internal control system is complied with at all times within the Companies
Investigation of fruads, forgeries and operational errors with a view to avoid future occurences while culprits are brought to book
Ensuring compliance with the rules and regulation of the Country as they relate to our business
Ensuring strict adherence to management policies, rules and regulations.
In charge of Company Account:
Daily/Weekly Routine:
Daily updating and reconciliation of the cash and bank ledgers of the Company. This includes the entry of all inflows and outflows into the cashbook with adequate corresponding updating of the Company’s ledgers.
Maintenance and accurate documentation of all daily financial transaction of the Company. This includes accurate recording of cheques issued and received, documenting of expenses and proper analysis of expenses incurred in the Company
Ensures disbursements are made based on approved memo
Maintenance of customers’ and suppliers ledger of the Company with various operational analysis for decision making
Maintains financial security by following internal controls to safeguard the Company’s assets
Develop and maintains fixed Assets Register for the Company
Secures financial information by completing data base backup
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Preparation of daily bus revenue account in ledger & computer spreadsheet
Bank lodgment and customers interaction
Monthly Routines:
Preparation of Monthly payroll for management and staff of the Company.
Monitoring and produce the monthly, quarterly and annual statements of all receivables due
Preparation of disbursement and expenditure summary report
Prepares monthly bank reconciliatory statements for all bank accounts maintained by the Company
Ensure the accuracy of the receivable ledgers and reconciliation from any discrepancies observed;
Liaising with staff and other debtors to ensure that all outstanding amounts are settled promptly on their due dates
Efficient and effective functioning and maintenance of the accounting software
Fund management track availability and ensure efficient use of Company’s Fund
Monthly update of debtors register and monthly report of all leases to be submitted to the Lagos office
Tax computations (PAYEE & Company income tax) and returns
Generating accurate, timely and complete financial statements on receivables in accordance with the Financial Regulations
Attend to all Regulatory matters as may affect the Company
Maintains accounting controls by recommending policies, process and procedures.
Complies with Federal, State and Local government’s statutory requirements, studying existing and new legislation and advising management on needed actions.
Prepares special financial reports by collating, analyzing and summarizing accounting information and trend.
Timely and effective collection of outstanding customers’ payment on lease buses.
Others:
Establish or identify prices of vehicles, services, cash registers.
Offer customers carry-out service at the completion of transactions or after sale services.
Resolve customer complaints.
Calculate total payments received during a time period, and reconcile this with total sales.
Cash checks for customers.
Stock shelves vehicle spare parts, and mark prices on shelves and items.
Pay company bills by cash, vouchers, or cheque.
Company matters with State secretariat and any other matter as it may affect the company and the entire staffs
