Enterprise Risk Management
Establishing Context: An understanding of the current conditions in which the organization operates on an internal,
external and risk management context.
Identifying Risks: Documentation of the material threats to the organization’s achievement of its objectives and the
representation of areas that the organization may exploit for competitive advantage.
Analyzing/Quantifying Risks: Calibration and, if possible, creation of probability distributions of outcomes for each
material risk.
Integrating Risks: Aggregation of all risk distributions, reflecting correlations and portfolio effects, and the formulation of
the results in terms of impact on the organization’s key performance metrics.
Assessing/Prioritizing Risks: This includes the determination of the contribution of each risk to the aggregate risk profile,
and appropriate prioritization.
Treating/Exploiting Risks: Development of strategies for controlling and exploiting the various risks.
Monitoring and Reviewing: Continual measurement and monitoring of the risk environment and the performance of the
risk management strategies.
Credit Risk Management/Portfolio Mgt/Credit reporting
Composition of the Banks Risk Asset Portfolio into segmentation, sectors, performance, Group obligors, maturity profile,
Regions etc.
• Reporting of all On-lending, Government, Staff, sectors, off balance assets to CBN via FINCON.
• Reconciliation of the banks risk asset position to FINCONs GL position.
• Collating and making regulatory submissions on the banks Credit Classification Portfolio Report to CBN.
• Providing all required data and credit information to all external auditors (CBN, KPMG, NDIC)
• Upload of all borrowing customers to CRC, Credit Registry and XDS credit Bureaus.
• Generating Borrowers Code (CRMS 100 and 200), Credit IDs (CRMS 300) to CBN through efass.
• Monthly update on all reported customers on efass (CRMS 400).
• Generating internal reports for management
• Release of security documents once a customer is confirmed has been non-indebted to the bank.
• Credit Enquiries to and from other Financial Institutions on borrowing customers.
• Generating the NPL ratio report and Turnover analysis report for Branches and Regions monthly.
• Conducting Credit Checks on all borrowing customers
· Developed the ability to organize documents; filing paperwork, setting up mailing systems and processing backlog
of documents.
· Examined incoming mails and redirected to the appropriate division.
· Daily documentation of proceedings gathered from the three different hospitals under the NHS scheme of the United
Kingdom (Leicester).
Furthermore, reports had to be generated at the end of every week and submitted in presentation formats.
