• MTNN Information Systems Security Portfolio Implementation: Served as the Project Manager in charge of all Information security projects within the MTN Nigeria IT ecosystem. Managed the delivery of the CS5 security project on Intelligent Charging Nodes with ericcson; the Imperva project is ongoing to safeguard the network databases from external or internal unauthorised intrusion; Managing the end to end preparation for information systems audit with PwC; Managing the Penetration Testing of the MTN business and IS networks with aggressive hacking methods by Digital Jewels. I have sole responsibility for project delivery from the requirements gathering stage to project planning, scheduling, implementation, monitoring and closure within a project management office. Completion of this project places MTN at the fore front of technology and increasing market share.
• Demand Management / Value Added Services/ Product Development: Managed a crossfunctional team from the marketing, enterprise solutions, service delivery, IT architecture, VAS planning and several vendors to deliver on product developments that are live or going live in 2013. Coordinating the delivery of the MTN Group Cloud project for the Nigeriam Opco and ensuring the integration of payment gateways for online payments, mobile money payments and airtime payments. This projects are delivered in line with the mission of the company in providing bespoke solutions to the business users.
• Monitoring & Managing the maturity index of the Information Systems Project Management Office: The PMO maturity is being determined via the CMMI & PMI guidelines, making the unit to identify gaps for which processes are developed to build an international PMO within the organisation.

* Network modernisation in the fixed network business: The project team leader. Ensuring the move of technology from the legacy digital line units (DLU) to the multiservice access network (MSAN) platform. Completion of this project places MTN at the fore front of technology and increasing market share.
* Network integration of VGC telecoms to MTN Nigeria national network: Coordinated the transmission infrastructure restructuring and physical integration of the networks over 3 points of presence (Lagos, Abuja & PHC) worked with technical, sales and enterprise network resources. This project resulted in MTN expanding its market and increased profitability.
* Network expansion of acquired fixed network footprint of VGC for MTN Nigeria: Team Lead for the deployment of infrastructure in Ibadan that brought in sales worth over N500Million in revenue for the enterprise sales team.
* MTN Nigeria Wimax deployment & network integration: To increase the MTN Nigeria internet and data services customer base in Nigeria and generate revenue from small scale enterprises. Developed the project design and cost implication for the project. Participated in the migration of XSB wireless service to MTN Wimax footprint and served as the project coordinator on the project. This ensured the launch of the highly successful MTN HyNet product with about 400 Wimax base stations installed in Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja.
* Enterprise network solution technical sales delivery: (Project Lead) . Worked with the enterprise solution sales team to deploy wide area network solutions for banks, multinationals, telecom companies. Successfully deployed for GTBank, Aero Contractors, Elf, Premier Lotto, Skye Bank, Nestle Plc., Visafone, Starcomms, Gateway Communications, UBA International WAN, and also participated in the presentation of solutions to CBN, FCMB, Nicon Estate Lekki, Elf and the Nigeria Stock Exchange. Improved negotiations skills while on the project. This increased revenue in the non-GSM business..
* Data network expansion to 15 geographical locations: (Project coordinator/technical resource) . The network serves 80% of the total data services client. I coordinated the delivery of 14 more data network footprints in Nigeria. I also served as a fundamental resource in getting the Alcatel-Lucent IP-DSLAM, Ericsson Mini Node, Basic3, and Basic6 multiplexers installed in the metropolitan areas. Directed activities and tasks from planning to operations which launched MTN HyConnect Services (data and voice) in 15 cities across Nigeria. This increased the IP data services point of presence for MTN nationwide, reduced the cost of data network delivery to subscribers and decreased the time to deliver services.

Managed contractor project teams in the delivery of fiber links, leased line circuits and microwave links. My role was central to the drive of delivery of base stations for the expansion of MTN Nigeria network in the region thereby increasing MTN market share.

* Fiber optic deployment via the gaslink pipeline in Lagos: To generate revenue from the bulk sales of bandwidth and internet services over fiber. Managed 3 contractors on the project and coordinated the delivery of the project tasks in line with budget and timelines. Has increased communication network access for major oil and gas servicing companies in the greater Lagos area.

* Implemented 5000km of the backbone transmission infrastructure (Nationwide) using fiber optics: To provide a nationwide infrastructure of fiber optic transmission for Glo Network in Nigeria thereby reducing dependence on other communication networks and saving cost. Worked with a team of 5 contractors and 2 engineers, managed the performance and appraisal of intern engineers. Delivered the communication connectivity between north and south on Glo network.
* Lagos fiber metro (Project Implementation Lead): Successfully implemented Glo Lagos fiber optic ring metro transmission network in Lagos. Decision making, monitoring and quality control of contractor's activities. Acquired knowledge on Alcatel fibre optic equipment. Developed influencing and negotiation skills and crisis management with state government. Globacom communication "network redundancy" was assured with the successful completion of this project and call drops and network unavailability was reduced immensely.
* Connection of Alcatel Litespan and data link (Team Lead): Handled the verification of design, quality control and supervision of Alcatel equipment implementation. This reduced communication cost to Glo and the Group.
* Pre-shipment quality control check of fibre optic materials and equipment in China: I was recommended by head of fixed network projects to ascertain/determine the quality of the materials coming into the Glo Network. These equipment made Glo Fixed services a best-in-class infrastructure.
* Data analysis of survey results of fixed network designs: Developed the bill of material and bill of quantities for budget purposes. Determination of percentage cost of contingencies resulting from survey result from 10 geographical locations in Nigeria. Developed skills on tender and contracting processes, developed ability to draw up project implementation plans and project risk matrices. The result of this analysis is presently being used for current deployment of the Glo fixed network.
