• Project Summary: Support and Operate Project Management Office “PMO” in Tabuk University
• Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the customizations and modifications for the project management tool (EPM 2010).
- Supporting project managers to work on Microsoft EPM 2010 system as needed.
- Giving training sessions for project managers and team members on Microsoft Project 2010 and Microsoft EPM 2010.
- Monitoring and controlling the strategic plans status for all agencies, deanships and faculties in the university.
- Work as an administrator on Microsoft EPM 2010 system and coordinate to solve problems.
- Preparing and introducing presentations for executives.
• Other Duties:
- Being the key person to handover deliverables for clients in the region
- He also provides support for other projects for his company like Al-Jouf University and Tabuk Municipality.
- He worked in business development (Sales) and preparing proposals for his company in his free time. He won a new project for his company, which he worked on from A-Z.
Project Manager:
• Projects Summary (PMO Setup Projects):
- Evaluate the current situation and maturity level of project management
- Build a customized PM and PMO processes based on PMI’s best practices.
- Build a customized EPM including PM and PMO processes and their templates.
- Support and operate the PMO and transfer knowledge to the client team.
• Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create the project plan and monitor its progress
- Coordinate with the team to complete project deliverables.
- Being the final owner for deliverables (review all project deliverables and present them for the client to gain approvals)
- Communication between the client team and the company team.
- Follow-up on project payments.
- Handle all project issues, risks and change requests.
- Preparing status reports and minutes of meetings
• Senior Process Consultant Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance the department deliverables.
- Business analysis and requirement Gathering.
- Perform presentations, discussions, and meetings for projects deliverables.
- Preparing project management documents for most of METHOD's projects such as: startup documents “project charter, project plans …etc”, PMO Governance, PMO Plan etc..
- Prepare the As-Is Study and the Gap Analysis
- Developing PM and PMO for several PMO establishment projects
- Using Microsoft EPM 2013 and MS Project 2013 professionally.
• Roles and Responsibilities:
- Developing PM and PMO for several PMO establishment projects
- Transform the processes into HTML format to be integrated in EPM
- Preparing project management documents for most of METHOD's projects such as: startup documents “project charter, project plans …etc”, PMO Governance, PMO Plan etc..
- Preparing technical proposals
- Working onsite as a project manager associate in Riyadh for 3 weeks
- Helping project managers in research and development
- Using Microsoft EPM 2010 and MS Project 2010 professionally.
- Giving MS Project 2010 sessions.
- Preparing training materials, presentations, and courses outlines.
- Participate in project and training coordination.
A well-educated industrial engineer, he is PMP certified and MCTS, Microsoft Project 2010 certified from Microsoft. Omar works in the project management consultation field with METHOD since he was studying in the university, he played many roles with his company, since he worked as a PM consultant, Project manager and Process Consultant, he was trainer for Microsoft Project sessions in METHOD, he worked on developing PM and PMO processes to be integrated with EPM.
