- Define and direct the development and implementation of Information System strategies.
- Assess the viability of managing the various IT activities to determine whether to be managed internally or outsourced.
- Ensure existence of proper logical security - governing access to the company’s information and systems.
- Ensure provision of proper and consistent IT support to the company staff.
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective technology risk management including security and data recovery procedures.
- Assume the overall project responsibility and relationship with other vendors and solution providers that manage the IT activities of the company (i.e. outsourced activities).
- Consult other departments on the technical specifications and terms of reference to be considered in the agreements with the IT service and solution providers.
- Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Plan the needs of the department such as manpower, systems …etc.
- Develop IT spending forecasts based on the needs of the various departments in the company and IT department budget.
- Monitor the budget and plans of the department, to continuously update the management with the status and required changes.
- Applying the performance system in the department and counsels the staff on how to enhance their performance and address their weaknesses.
- Develop and direct the implementation of proper HR, IT, Procurement and Administration strategies.
- Oversee the analyses and studies related to human resources and IT development in the market and the Company.
- Insure the quality of support services and ensure providing proper support to all divisions consistently.
- Monitor the division budget and take necessary corrective actions to address variances.
- Report periodically to the CEO on the performance of the Support division.

The main role in RAK Chamber is to setup the IT infrastructure and improve the technology environment in the company and insure to apply all the requirements for RAK Quality program.

- Setup the Information Technology infrastructure.
- Build the Company main Portal http://www.tanmia.ae that handle all the internal business for jobseekers, employers and internal process ending with jobseeker training and career.
- Handle all the head of department activities starting from department vision, budgeting, department plan, staff objectives, staff evaluation and improvement.
