Goals
• Achieve institutional collaboration between Alfaisal University and other universities/hospitals that promote the mutual interest of enhancing their contribution to higher education internationally.
• Enhance the students’ educational outcome by allowing them to practice medicine in distinguished hospitals in North America and Europe.
• Allow the student to improve their clinical expertise through hands-on learning alongside well-established medical faculty.
The Quality and Patient Safety Program was founded at Alfaisal University in 2012 as an innovative student driven initiative.
QPS aims to actively contribute in the development of patient safety through the involvement of
students in three main aspects: Awareness, Education and Research. The QPS program focuses mainly on medical students because they are the cornerstone and future of our healthcare system.
This is achieved by:
• Enhancement of practices and skills of medical students.
• Advancing medical students’ community and patient awareness and engagement.
Through awareness campaigns, we also aim to reach out to the common public and educate them about the role they play in ensuring the delivery of good and safe healthcare to them.
