Projects Manager / General Manager. for a construction company called Al Freej.
I had, at a time, 6 projects consisting g of chalets and private villas which I managed in parallel.
My responsibilities started at meeting prospect clients and presenting our services while providing engineering support and recomendations in order to deliver a project to the client that is best utilized from the cost, time, functionality, quality aspects.
Upon signing the contract with the client I am responsible for allocating manpower and engineers to each project while preparing a project time and cost plan.
Reviewing reports sent from project managers and engineers on a weekly basis to identify obstacles and take the needed measures to avoid them.
I was the construction manager acting as a project manager for the new Kuwait Airport Control Tower construction project.
I was responsible for review of specifications and contracts in order to ensure the materials, subcontractors and time/cost were all fulfilling the required specs.
I was instructing and guiding the project planning engineer in order to prepare the project plan to ensure the project is to meet at time deadlines and to be on budget.
monitoring and controlling the time and cost aspects of the project throughout its total duration in order to take any corrective measures if needed.
Manage subcontractors, junior engineers, technical office, procurement and finance for the project.
Reoorting to higher management the actual project status and lookahead to project completion.
Weekly meeting with the client (DGCA) to manage their requirements and requests and report the project status.
Sales Engineer for FORMWORK AND SCAFFOLDING engineering solutions for construction projects. Providing engineering solutions and proposals for construction projects in order to save time and cost and provide the most efficient approach to the project using the latest technologies and products. It is not just a sales role but actually acting as a partner to the main contractor in his project taking the project best benefit into consideration while submitting the proposal. following up with the client after sales to ensure safe and engineering works are taken up in site.
Preparing sales forecast and updating the pipeline to ensure targets are met.
Project Engineer in the construction of projects including:
360 Mall,
Al Hamra Tower,
Al Kout Mall,
NBK Tower,
Reaponsible for the construction of the project. assuring that the subcontractors and works are as per specifications and BOQ for the project.
Ensuring work done is as per the quality standards for construction.
Monitoring and Controlling quality, time and cost to ensure the project is completed within budget, on time and meeting the highest quality standards.
Managing a team of site Engineers, company labour and subcontractors.
Foreseeing any work problems or site issues in order to avoid them and avoid delays in work completion.
Coordinating services, structural and architectural in order to avoid redoing the works and adjustments to completed works which will effect the time and cost of the project.
Preparing time plans and cost forecasts to ensure that deadlines and project milestones.
Preparing reports for the completed works and the works remaining to hand over the project.
Reporting to high management the status and forecast of the project while highlighting arising issues in the project and the suggested corrective actions and propose solutions to the issues.
Bachelors degree in civil engineering and a graduation project in Project Management
