• Assisting in estimating required resources and in planning / scheduling the project based on key milestones and critical activities to correctly evaluate the project and prepare the technical scope of work.
• Control and monitor work execution, job progress, man power allocation, productivity rates, and status reporting throughout the project. Insuring compliance with QHSE, specifications, contract and customer requirements.
• Single point of contact between client representatives, classification societies, shipyard departments and contractors during the repair period, linking all parties to resolve any issues that might arise, through meetings and efficient communication.
• Liaise with client inspectors / class surveyors for progressive and close outwork inspections, commissioning, delivery of work done and sea trials.
• In charge of ship yard infrastructure, facilities and assets, including vessel services dept. (shore power, water, gas, air supply, waste & scrap disposal)
• Budgeting & scheduling preventive maintenance activities for yard equipment and spare parts control ensuring optimum asset availability, service levels and minimum downtimes.
• Introduced, implemented and administered the current CMMS system in line with PAS55 standard, leading to better work management, proper problem tracing and logging, planning and documentation.
• Achieved better average KPI scores for the department by 35%.
• Achieved running cost reductions up to 60% annually through introducing new shipyard equipment.
• Achieved increased availability rates for most old key assets up to 45% in total average uptime, by applying proved best practices and major upgrades, resulting in increased Assets Reliability, productivity, safer worksites and full compliance with environmental regulations.
• Troubleshooting and quality repairs of vessels machinery and equipment, insuring optimum running conditions and maximum availability.
• Preparing docking plans and SOW for vessels during dry dock.
• Prepared and implemented the preventive maintenance master plan for the complete fleet with work instructions sheets and monitored its progress throughout the project period insuring timely delivered results.
• Supervision of project manpower, work flow and work sites according to QHSE standards.
• Supervising and performing routine maintenance and checks on mechanical parts, performing planned and emergent repairs on rig.
• Cooperation with the drilling crew and the electricians to insure proper operation and readiness through various drilling stages and conditions.
• Ordering spare parts and maintaining stock levels of required consumables.
• Member of the maintenance team responsible for mechanical rig equipment, diesel engines, compressors, pumps, lifting and rotating machinery, valves, pipe lines and drilling equipment.
Member of the marine diesel engines department concerned in main engine and generators overhauling and repairs.
• Worked as a project planning and control engineer for mechanical construction projects as the live fire fighting & damage control trainer owned by ENF, and the pneumatic grain unloader owned by the Egyptian grain yards authority.
• Member of the diesel engines maintenance group considered in marine diesel engines repairs and replacements. Headed a workshop team performing miscellaneous ship repair jobs (pipes, valves, pumps, etc.).
Responsible for production rates, Headed the fans and assembly departments.
B.Sc. in Mechanical Power Engineering, Graduation project graded Excellent, titled thermodynamic and economical analysis of steam power plants.
